i think i like the first one better (less gross-humour) but umbridge makes the second one sooooo epic.

I like the second one. It has my favourite scene, and it has Umbridge, and makes full use of the awe-inspiring Tyler Brunsman.

Also, keep in mind that a lot was cut out of the first one for YouTube, so there's stacks of stuff we didn't see. StarKid reeeeeally like their dirty humour.

I think you can download the "director's cut" somewhere on Tumblr lol At least that's where I got mine from, haven't managed to look at it yet, though.

Try getting Musical () and Sequel (http://teamstarkid.bandcamp.com/album/a-very-potter-sequel) from the source. I really don't want to give these guys' stuff away for free, they could actually use the money.
