This is for all US and UK friends. Please, please, PLEASE be careful! I do not want to be spoiled!!!! We just saw Shells last week.
I have done an icon overhaul. I have not done the assignments that are due tomorrow. One will just have to be handed in late. I really did try to do them, so I wasn't being slack, I just couldn't do them. I did do tutoring today, so I have $20. YAY! Please keep your fingers crossed for me that I will get a good job soon.
I wanna know what the thing in July organised by BOBW is, dammit.

On to the good stuff. The final of Queer as Folk was on tonight and it was brilliant. Let's go with Brian just to start with. Every little thing he did from a certain point on tonight was generous, everything. It's like he held it all in for ages pretending to be heartless and now that he's located his heart he can't stop. He offered Michael his last stick of gum. He even offered Debbie his fingernails to chew. Plus he still looked hot doing it all. I love that the exchange with Emmett proved that he can still be biting and sarcastic without being a cold-hearted bitch. Yummy.. That scene was so utterly gorgeous. I told you that Brian loved Emmett!!!
See, now finally Hunter comes across as sympathetic. Watching him on the steps my heart suddenly really went out to him. I think that's a really inspired subplot, him and his mother, and I love the acting that the boys pulled off, it was brilliant. When he ran back to hug Ben my heart melted. HAPPY FAMILIES! :D
The lesbian subplot felt like a total contrivance, though, just to have them in there somewhere. I think they could have figured out something better.
All the experimental scenes with Ted were amazing. I like that when we see him at the club he's fractured and weird looking, then the whole scene leading up to that creepy as fuck video was disjointed and strange, and the sickly green glow that the detox centre had. It was a good way of showing everything through Ted's eyes. I still hate him, though, I can't help it. Of course I still love Emmett.
The final scene, with the black and white and the colour, was so Pleasantville. I loved it.
I actually taped Queer as Folk for Clare, who I discovered has been watching it at her friend's house. I figure I'd rather she watch all that and not be homophobic than be sheltered from it and make gay jokes at school. Meanwhile I look forward to seeing Oz and hope SBS will put Queer as Folk on again after Oz is finished, coz I've actually wanted to see Oz for ages.
Queer Eye was very cute tonight. That mullet was truly terrifying, but the end result was one of the better physical transformations we've seen. I still liked that other family man earlier in the season better. Best quote of the evening:
Ted: "Run over the little guy!"
Jai: "Nooo!" *runs away from Ted and his fucking huge shopping trolley*
