No, I'm not procrastinating. I don't need to vacuum. Why do you ask?

His face at 0:37 when he figures it out. Bless. I've heard at least a couple of people singing this version at every concert since, and sometimes I sing it that way now, even to versions that aren't this one. That girl who thought of this created a monster.

Had to watch this twice - once for Darren, once for Joey. Joey's FACE. Also Joey's face in

Firstly, I love everyone in this vid. Secondly, Darren! Thirdly, Joey Richter's face - always, but I love him going "That's me!" at 8:09. Fourthly, THEY ARE RIDICULOUS AND I CAN'T COPE.

Tyler's phenomenal, man. He's funny as Cedric, but I love him so much as Lucius.

Seriously, Leaky needs to release their video of this panel. I need it like burning. For the first time in ages, Starkid actually beat Darren in the number of music plays last week because I've been listening to the LeakyCon audios over and over.

Still my favourite. I particularly enjoyed watching his eyebrows in this video. Don't judge me.

Beautiful.

This almost makes me want to see this movie. Almost.

Zach's voice got so WRECKED that weekend. He was talking constantly!

From: [identity profile] entwashian.livejournal.com

No, that looks like it's from Saturday.

I was there on Friday for Psych & Dom.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Have you seen this? (http://www.usanetwork.com/series/psych/games/findthepineapple/index30.html)

I should try to find the Dom one. For some reason I keep watching other videos. As you can see from this post.

From: [identity profile] entwashian.livejournal.com

Yes, I have. :)

My head might be in it. There was a whole bit, actually, where I was struggling not to crack up, 'cause he was talking about how he is going to do a show about how much he loves insects, and I was thinking about how much you love Dom & hate insects.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Augh, it still bothers me that he loves bugs so much. Creepy little things. Blech.

I can now convert YouTube clips to audio files. I felt like sharing this triumph with someone.

::is tempted to post the face picture. you know the one::

Excellent! keepvid.com?

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

I would prefer it if you didn't post that picture, thanks. I don't need the nightmares.

Yep, and some other bits and pieces. I have made two audio files already *nods*

Oh, no, that's the Firefly one? I was there juuust after that. :D

He directed it everywhere, I thought. He was on the Glee SDCC panel where they showed the footage. It seems concerts show up great in 3D.

IMDb had Heather Morris and Darren listed as directors for a while, I don't know if it still does.

I was at that Garage show where they did that in Sami and he was NOT stoked on it. He tried to play it off like it was funny but he was pissed. He was actually pretty unstoked that entire show, compared to the other ones.

From: [identity profile] cookiedough.livejournal.com

eh, it's just fact. I was at all 4 shows and the vibe between the 4 of them was all very, very different. The one where they sang his name in Sami - was the matinee Garage show - the last one to go onsale, therefore the easiest to get tickets for, and a lot of like, the bad kind of Glee fans there. The crowd at that show was the worst and he was like, stony-faced the entire set. He doesn't make it a secret about how he feels about people who come to his shows expecting him to be "the guy from Glee" - like, those shows were a bit bigger so he catered to it a bit more, but at the Borderline shows he played... maybe ONE Glee song in the set, and said the word "Glee" just once and under his breath like it was a curse. I know that the Sami-thing isn't Glee related, but it's more the mentality of the fans. That show was legitimately horrible and I almost wish I hadn't gone, the only reason I'm glad I did was so I knew JUST how good the other one was in comparison.

Now I'm just sad that you got to go to 4 Darren shows and I've never been to one. I swear I've never been so jealous of other people in my life until I became a Darren fan, and now every time someone who isn't me gets to see him I'm like IT ISN'T FAAAAAIR. It's rather pathetic.

I'm not surprised that Glee fans are bigger pains in the neck than Starkids and hardcore Darren fans. I reeeeally wish I could go back in time and show myself AVPM so that I could've been a Starkid earlier. *sigh*

From: [identity profile] cookiedough.livejournal.com

As I always say - don't be jealous, create your own opportunities. It is all a matter of what you prioritize. I prioritize visiting my friends overseas, travel and going to shows much more than anything like career progression.. i Don't have a car or buy expensive things... this is what I choose to spend my money on. I didn't go to England just for Darren's shows, but I planned my trip around Glee tour and Leakycon, so it was good fortune I got his solo shows as well. Don't say it isn't fair - if you wanted it enough, you'd go. Like, I don't mean this offensively, but if you want it literally more than you want anything else - more than you want to not piss off your job, more than you want to study, whatever, you find a way to make it happen. I'm never jealous of people because if I know I want something badly enough that it will hurt me not to have it... I get it.

With him and the shows and the fans... Starkid fangirls can be dicks too, but most older fans treat him more like a person and less like a piece of meat/teen heart throb. It constantly amazes me how people think he is this super positive and happy person all of the time who thinks everything is magic and cute. He's really, really easy to read and interpret in my opinion, and the times when he is being the most sincere or blatant or genuine, people tend to ignore it/not notice it. A lot of people care more about the image they have of him and the silly things he puts on than about how he actually is and how he actually feels about things. He doesn't hide it, but most people take the surface stuff and make it into some sort of cartoon character. There's more to this - not much I can actually say, but I wish more people would watch him a bit closer.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Yeah, I had LeakyCon tickets and the money to buy plane tickets and then my car broke down, and my rent is expensive. So, yes, if I proiritised Darren over being able to support myself, I would have been there, but I can't afford to do that, and it makes me sad. I get where you're coming from though.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Plus the girl I gave my LeakyCon tickets to still hasn't paid me for them, and I don't think she got me autographs like I asked for, although I don't really know if she had the opportunity. Still, she could've let me know. I had Comic-con tickets, too, but I'm not really that sad about missing out on Comic-con. Leaky looked better - I seriously can't stop watching the videos from it.

I don't want to get down on people's experiences, I'm really happy for all the Darren fans who get to see him, but it does kind of suck that I had to make that decision. Still, I'm going to the States next year, and I'm sure he'll come to Australia eventually, so I'll get to see him one day. I'm determined enough!
