ETA: an article about how Darren is magical and an interview with Chris.

People who love Blaine Anderson's arms:
1. Me
2. Fandom
3. The costume designers
4. The cameraperson
5. Kurt
6. Lance the headasexual
7. ME.
I loved this week's Glee. They're clearly going for a more serialised show with more unity between the episodes this season, they're pushing ideas that may not be popular and exploring storylines that are hard to deal with - and not in a "bullying's bad" way, in a way that reflects society now. I mean, look at the way gay actors are treated in Hollywood. Plus they're addressing the fact that Kurt does fit a certain stereotype and that doesn't work for playing a lot of different roles, but he might be able to play certain roles really well. He didn't even really AUDITION for Tony - he auditioned for the role of a sword-spinning, acrobatic, male Barbra Streisand. People are up in arms, but the way Kurt's acting at the moment, do we REALLY think he'd be good as Tony? Do we really know what the right thing to do is when Blaine's offered this amazing part but doesn't want to hurt his boyfriend who probably won't get it anyway? These are hard questions that don't have easy answers, and we may feel bad for Kurt but we know where people are coming from.
I like ending on a cliffhanger. I like stories being set up that won't be resolved for a while. I like the musical theatre songs. I like the new season of Glee. We've always had a problem with their characterisation and continuity, now fandom's complaining because what they're giving us isn't all puppies and Klainebows. There's the possibility that if something tough happens it won't disappear by the next week.
Now, on to Something's Coming. I loved It's Not Unusual SO MUCH last week that I thought nothing could ever top it, AND THEN THERE WAS SOMETHING'S COMING.

Firstly, Blaine is the perfect Tony in sooo many ways. Darren nails the physicality, Blaine has that whole 50's look absolutely working for him, and Tony and Blaine are both such romantics. His voice was perfect, I love his FACE, I just...AUGH. EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER, DARREN.

ALSO, ARMS.

AND THEN HIS ACTING AT THE END. He's getting this whole attention hog rep and he wants to support his boyfriend but he KNOWS he'd be a good Tony and they're offering it to him on a plate, basically. He wants to not do it because of Kurt, but there's no way Kurt's getting it anyway. Just his FACE in that scene.

In short, I love Darren Criss.
