I was sitting here almost constantly from 11 am until 7 pm today working on an assignment, so I can't bear much more time with Harmony, but I couldn't go to bed without posting a teeny . OMG SIRIUS!!! I love him, I started crying when he said goodbye to Harry. I don't want him to die! So much of my favourite couples in there--plenty of Ron/Hermione flirting and of course the brilliant line from Snape, "bickering like an old married couple" regarding Lupin and Sirius. Um, yeah, SO MUCH SLASH. Meanwhile, I just thought Lupin was so cuddly and wonderful, and Gambon plays a brilliant Dumbledore, much better than Harris's. Harry cried!!!! Mind-blowingly beautiful direction by Cuaron. I want his babies.

I loved the way he took a plot-driven book, and squished the plot to make a character-driven film. Gary Oldman was so good, and they're already setting him up to die. *sobs and bangs fist on desk* Hagrid had a lot more depth to him and the twins finally got a decent-sized role. I can only pray that Mike Newell lives up to the standard Cuaron has set.
I think I might go see it again after I finish the play into Film essay.
