I think I need to buy a bucket for my Monday night TV viewing.

The amount I drool, it's just not right. I'm sure that many, many, many readers have noticed this, but may I just say that my *god* Spike is unnaturally beatiful? Same goes for Brian, even though I mostly just saw him through very thick *snow* all night coz the fucking *war* means fucking *SBS* is postponing Queer as Folk every Monday so it coincides *exactly* with Buffy. You know, I'd want to stop taping...but at least this way I can see all of Buffy, as well as watching almost all of Queer as Folk, even if I can hardly see anything. I flicked over in an ad break, so there's an entire QaF scene in the middle of my Buffy tape tonight, sorry Tom. Okay, speaking of, saw him and Nina today. Would have seen Nikki too, but we crossed wires. She wanted me to meet Michael, not clear on whether or not she's going out with him yet, but if not I'm sure she will be soon. Wish I had the courage to call cute gothic boy. Tom and Nina came to my film screening coz it was Rear Window today, review later. The lecture beforehand was pretty boring. This morning I vaccuumed. That's about my day summed up. I'm a little mopey and a lot tired tonight, so my 4 reviews might not be quite up to scratch tonight.

24
Spoilers: Okay, tonight's 24 was a bit much to stomach, and a bit predictable too, although I do still like Kate, which is a good sign. I'm starting to like George Mason a little too, which is odd, I used to hate him. Anyway, I knew Jack hadn't really killed the terrorist's kid, which was a bit of a let-down at the end. How did a) the terrorist and b) Prez *not* know he was faking?! *sigh* Moving on, Prez's bitch ex is *so* evil...but as an evil entity I far prefer her to what she was before. They've got some nice new blood as that imaging guy (bald, cute!), Almeida still doesn't have enough to do, Spawn (Jack's daughter, forgot her name) has *no* plot to herself whatsoever right now. I still hate Slut Terrorist (speaking of, shouldn't she have to wear a veil?) but the scene between her and Kate was good, tight, with some nice tense pauses. The main terrorist's a bit wimpy, really. I'm thinking this is probably more of a shitty day for Kate than Jack. But hey, he looks good!End spoilers.

Queer as Folk

Hmm, where to start...The bowling thing was very cute, but they kinda already did bowling with the "Brian's father sucks" saga. And they did it much better then, too, with Brian and Michael. Is bowling an inherantly straight thing? Will someone explain this to me? It's balls and phallic objects, surely it appeals to gay guys?!? Ted's story was, as usual, boring, and I'm going to start calling Ted and Emmett "Distant Relation of The Ew" coz, y'know, ew. Of course, plenty of Ethan is good for me, and Brian was conflicted and bastardly and *droools* hot hot hot tonight. Have I mentioned I hate Justin? The lesbian stuff was...well, to be honest, I didn't watch it. I watched Buffy instead.

Buffy
Speaking of which, LOTS AND LOTS OF SPIKE!!!! Conversations was a better ep, but Sleepers rates damn high on that scale, it was really good. James actually *can* act. And he just LOOKS SO GOOD. Xander's not so puffy anymore, so he's looking better too. Buffy irritated me a bit tonight...but mostly coz she was being mean to Spike and I already knew he was innocent; just a tool being used by The First. (Of course, I would've assumed that no matter what I'd seen, because I'm very very biased.) LOL at the Billy Idol gag!!! Very very cute. Anya/Spike scene was also good. There was something else I wanted to mention, but I've forgotten *pouts* I hate doing these reviews when I'm this tired.

Rear Window
To be honest, this is a film I never thought I'd be studying in class. I really, really enjoy it and have watched it a few times on my own, but I never really thought it was a hugely studyable film, if you get my drift. We're discussing spectatorship and voyeurism, though, so I guess it's understandable. Speaking of which, how cool a word is "scopophilia"? It means "The pleasure of looking", it's a Freudian term. Moving on to the movie itself, this movie has been parodied and copied so many times it's not funny, the major parody standing out in my mind being the one in The Simpsons, when Bart thinks Flanders killed his wife. He seems to actually go crazy, though, whereas James Stewart keeps it so real that you can completely identify, even though usually we'd be repulsed by what he's doing--playing Peeping Tom to the whold neighbourhood. It actually gets quite funny as Grace Kelly and then Stella the nurse get drawn in as well. There were a few laughs and a few screams (some in odd points of the movie) while we watched. I reckon the part where Grace Kelly sneaks into the suspect's apartment is one of the best scenes in history, it's so tense and we can see the whole thing as it plays out, which is so cool. I love how it's all done from Jeff's bedroom window, as well as how everything ties in (he's a photographer, so he basically spends his life looking through a lens at private and public worlds.) Hitchcock's a genius, but we all knew that. Miss Lonely Hearts scared me....she wore lots of green. I could be her when I'm 30!!! *sniffles* Anyway, I love this movie :D

Okay, link of the day is Cutting Blade's blog coz he's been hanging out at my blog, commenting and emailing, and coz he joined my Slash ring :D

Pics of the day, yes, I did it again, and the fruits of my insane labour are below. A *slight* Very Secret Diaries theme in them todya...in that they're *all* VSD quotes. I'm gonna promise some new Spike and Brian very soon coz...well, I want. No fics today, soon though.

In the Smackdown pic, Saruman looks positively cute. Am I the only pervy Sam fancier?

finally finished...I'm insane.
