Australian Marriage Amendment Bill, as posted onmusewhipped's journal.
"The Senate committee into the marriage amendment act is accepting submissions from the public in order to compile a report for the PM on Australian attitudes which will then be used as basis for policies.
Submissions are due by Fri 30 July. THIS FRIDAY.
Having contacts inside I can tell you that there have so far been 2000+ submissions AGAINST amending the act to allow same sex couples to marry and less than 20 supporting an amendment. Unless you want this hugely biased report compiled then spread the word and pump out those submissions. Don't let the haters win."

I have fulfilled my fag-hag quota for the week after hanging out with NewTom and calling Luke and Nutty today. NT's going to America in 9 days! I almost never see him and I'm still going to miss him, I hate it when people go away. I saw Melissa and called Tom, and skipped a French class again, because I am very very bad. Doco tute was deeply and painfully boring. While shopping fornaughtyevil's bday pressie I bought a George Quidditch figure who's about the cutest thing I've ever seen.
Forgot to mention seeing The OC last night. I love love love Seth, and Seth/Summer is actually pretty cute. I like that Summer doesn't bitch and whine about anything, she's just herself and she says what she thinks. Marissa's so damned whiny, I can't stand it.
My favourite parts:
Seth: "They're like puppets, and I'm the puppeteer."
Ryan: "World domination will surely follow."
Caleb: You still smoking the weed, are you?
Seth: Dad, you smoked weed?
Kirsten: Out. Now. Private conversation.
Seth: Ryan, guess who's a stoner!
Meanwhile, I think Sandy and Kirsten are about the cutest adult coupleever on a teen-oriented TV show. Except maybe Giles and Jenny Calender.

He hates Troy like me! Nice to see he's still helping Orli out, though.
Sparkly pink wristband, eh?
ETA: I am sad, because Mike Newell is not as pretty nor as talented as Alfonso Cuaron, who I will still gladly offer my firstborn to.

You remember the pins that came in the Telegraph? A friend of mine got me the stand-up ad for those, which is pretty cool.

What is it about guys wearing bands on their right ring finger lately? It seems to be happening a lot. It's awfully unsettling to at first gasp at "OMGHEGOTMARRIED?!!...Oh wait, wrong hand." Not that there's anything wrong with getting married, just the how-did-we-not-hear-about-it bit.
