Hmm, I have a bit of reviewing to do, so let's get started.

Firstly, I watched Black Hawk Down last night. First off, may I just say that Orlando Bloom should never, ever attempt an American accent again. The guy who was at Supanova for Buffy and JAG, Jade Carter, was actually up for the role that Orli got in that movie, and it was apparently eventually down to just the two of them. The very first thing I noticed about the film was the colours - the green filter worked brilliantly, and the movie was wonderfully stylised. If nothing else Ridley Scott is a director who knows his shit - good use of music, very clever switching between normal film modes and the characters' points of view. However you cannot justify making a movie *that long* unless it feels shorter, which it most definitely didn't. I lost track of how many times people went in and out of the safe zone. I thought Josh Hartnett, Eric Bana and Jason Isaacs pulled off solid performances, but since the other didn't really get much time on screen they didn't get a great chance to shine.
My biggest issue with the movie was that I had serious trouble taking it seriously when I knew more than half of the actors playing smaller roles, many as good British boys. Orli, Ioan Gruffudd, JASON ISAACS omg, Ewan MacGregor, Hugh Dancy, Ewan Bremner. Why? And Eric, too. Just so completely strange to me.

Okay, next on the list is the Series of Unfortunate Events books. I love them. They're full of very dark humour and they're very tongue-in-cheek. I wish more people would write books like these for kids, they're the kind of thing I would have loved as a child. Also, I don't think I've ever heard a better name for an author than Lemony Snicket.

Thank the gods Emelia is gone. I don't like her, and I don't think Rove does either judging by his interview of her tonight, it was *stone cold.* Speaking of Rove, Sean was so cute on that show tonight :D I don't care what anyone else thinks *I* love him. And Guy is looking good. The Umbilical Brothers showed us the true value of live television.

The OC! I am starting to really, really like Luke. A lot. And when did the sexual tension between Seth and Ryan become replaced with Luke and Ryan? There's something ridiculously endearing about the new Luke, he's such a complete goofball. I kinda like Oliver for trying to break Marissa and Ryan up, to be honest, and I'm looking forward to Ryan's spaz next week. Does that make me a bad person?
I want a Cohen family all my own. I love Sandy, Kirsten and Seth. All of them. But most of all I love Seth, who I think may be the perfect boy.

OKay, as for what I've actually done lately - yesterday I worked in the morning and went to uni to finally do my Film and Music in the afternoon (and discovered it's 5% penalty for the first week no matter when you get it in, so I was happy I left it) and today I went to work in the morning and mostly hung out in the afternoon. I went into uni to scan my photos from the Brisbane trip OMG YAY! I need someone to animate together all my crown pics for me. I've cut out all the middle frames, and you can even cut out the last frame of text if it won't fit. Pretty please, someone? I will post the photos later in a friends-locked post.

1. Who or what is on your computer's wallpaper?
A Fell Beast wallpaper I downloaded from the official Lord of the Rings website. Because I love my Horace.

2. Go through your DVD/pre-bought video collection. Which three actors or actresses feature the most in them?
Sean Astin, managing all of 5. I need more DVDs. I need more money. Gene Kelly's in a few, and the next most is anyone in Lord of the Rings, because I have 4 DVDs of them.

3. Go through your book shelves. Which three authors have written the most books?
JK Rowling, JRR Tolkien and Anne Rice.

4. And what about CDs?
Matchbox Twenty.

5. Open up the picture folder(s) on your hard drive.
Um. I have over 20,000 pictures in there. Over 10,000 of Lord of the Rings, so I guess that takes up the most space.

6. And what about your Livejournal user pictures? Who is on the majority of those?
Dom!

I wrote a story on the Bronze, and decided to share it all with you. One dark and stormy evening Green Queen and Aquaboy were investigating a disturbance at a nearby pharmacy. Sneaking in stealthily through the back window, they hid behind a fridge and came across the most disturbing sight either of them had ever seen, except perhaps one time when they had snuck out of their room late at night to discover something on a cable TV channel that neither of them would ever discuss again.

Thousands of geese and hamsters were being placed, one after another, into a machine in a bizarre assembly line. At the other end the contraption was spewing forth small feathered creatures with four legs and large teeth.

Green Queen sprung forwards into her action pose, confronting the creator of this madness: Carson Kressley.
"Carson! You were a fashion mogul for thousands! What drove you to this madness?"
"I thought that by combining geese and hamsters, I could create the perfect fashion accessory!" Carson spluttered, backing away from the combined might of Green Queen and her blue-haired sidekick.
"Geese and hamsters! Why, man, why!" Aquaboy cried as he apprehended the villain.
"it's a whole new pet! At first, nobody else would have one...then, just when all the fashion-conscious faghags of the world watching my show wanted one, I would start mass producing them!" yelled Kressley, thrashing wildly. "And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling college students!"

Bravely our two heroes took the madman to the local mental institution, a staple of all cities inhabited by superheroes and supervillains, and lived to fight evil another day.

Stock photos are pretty. So is House of Usher.

Here are my favourite pics from Sean's book.

I don't think I've ever seen a nerdier Elijah.

OMG how gorgeous was Sean on Rove. I think I've developed a crush. He's the nicest guy in the world and so sweet and funny and happy to laugh at himself. Aww :)

I can't bring myself to watch Black Hawk Down. I want to watch it, we'll truthfully for Jason Isaacs. But I can't watch war movies. I just can't.

I've only read the first book in ASoUE. I fully enjoyed it, but havn't had the money or time to go pick up the rest.
