Meanwhile, I have to write up what I did at filming on Friday.

I arrived 10 minutes early and just before Martha (I got there at 12:20). David and Julian arrived presently and we got the bar sorted out. We have actually lost a hotel room to shoot in, which is not good - the manager of the Rex seems to have decided that they might just become magically booked out because of Floriade, so we're tryign to find a hotel room. When Joel our bartender showed up he suggested the hotel university's hotel (I've forgotten the name of it now, dammit.) David is our location manager so he is supposed to be getting that arranged.

Once Tony and Joel had arrived it was mostly a matter of trying to get our lighting and camerawork organised for the tracking shot we were to be filming that day. Erin arrived and told us that we also needed to do a few more shots at the bar for the "Suntory time!" dialogue so that we could show Sarah's reaction. Unfortunately, Sarah didn't show up on time. Martha tried calling her repeatedly. Tom and Nina, who were very kindly being extras for us, came about 10 minutes after 1, then finally Sarah showed up at about 1:20. She had been doing physio for her leg which had been broken before. Fortunately walking was not a problem for her, so we did the shots at the bar - a few two-shots, and one from each angle. Then we did the moving/tracking shot. We were on very limited time as Tony had to leave early. We did a take in which the moving of our terribly fancy shopping trolley style dolly didn't work so Julian swore, then we did a take where Tom held the door open and decided it didn't work, so we did a third take without that. Unfortunately after Tony left we realised that another woman had walked into the bar and could be seen in teh background, but we're hoping that she's not very noticable. Mostly it went pretty well, no real lighting or sound dramas (we decided to do the tracking shot with the sound off.)

Last time there was to be filming (Wednesday during the holidays) I had laryngitis.

I hope that's enough. This log thing is going to be shithouse.

Here's something to cheer us up: Dom on ET for Lost thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nuregwen.
