So, Australia, man. WTF is up with that?

Yesterday was work and walking Saffy in the arvo. Today was filming this morning and sleeping in the arvo. I'm not sure I actually slept. I think I mostly stared at the ceiling. I also attempted fruitlessly to work on this presentation I was supposed to give 2 weeks ago but can't seem to actually write. It's making me feel queasy.

Filming this morning was fun and relaxing. I got there about 10 minutes late because of traffic and found Martha waiting downstairs, we chatted for a bit and then Dave came and found us. I brought my fruit basket, fake banana and Japanese magazines :) We headed to room 336 (at the Rex, Dave phoned me yesterday to tell me we could sneak around and get in there.) I had to do the camerawork, as Julian was in Sydney because he hurt his arm. I met Timothy, who was playing John, and we got to business reorganising the room once everybody had arrived, and our actors changed into their clothes. That room was kinda nasty - under the bed was slightly furry. We had to move one of the three beds in the room out of the way and put the table where it had been, and Martha artfully arranged John's photo equipment on the floor so that it looked "strewn". We worked out that the best place to film from was with me standing on the third bed at the back of the room in a long overhead-type shot, as most ground-level shots were unflattering at best. We shot most things in both widescreen and normal because Erin informed me that we had not shot in widescreen last Friday, even though we had for the rest of filming. We did some long takes of Sarah rolling over, checking the clock, kissing her husband, walking through the room, eating an apple, reading a magazine and grabbing her clothes. Then we did some tighter shots, a shot of Sarah's feet as she walked through the photo equipment, a shot of the clock, a couple of close-ups on Sarah, and finally Sarah walking down the hallway - one stationary camera, one tracking her front-on down the hall on our dolly trolley. It was really good today, I think everything went pretty well, except for the occasionaly giggling fit from the entire crew because Timothy was mumbling so loudly!

Ricki-Lee's out, huh? Okay, it's a shock, but it's not the other Idols' faults. I am so sick of the bitching in that fandom. Meanwhile, the 4400 ended up being pretty crap. It thought it was subtle when it was just dodgy. The script was bad, the happy ending was forced and it just didn't work for me at all. OC tonight - I *love* Luke. I mean, how many shows have a former asshole jock whose discovery that he had a gay daddy made him an earnest goofball who gets with his ex's mother? Brilliant. I liked Oliver too, he had a good way of shaking things up. Ryan and Marissa are pissing me off.

Sine [livejournal.com profile] peppermintpat has said I can pimp in her community (ver kindly) I am pimping [livejournal.com profile] riddickulus here. Also, I got a bunch of very nice Dom pics in Lost in my email today, may make icons with them soon.

Here are my [livejournal.com profile] riddickulus contest entries this week - 2 icons (and other versions), 2 banners.
