I never thought I'd be one for retail therapy.

Today, however, I went shopping after finding out that my best friend's mad at me. I think it helped. I bought The Muggle's Guide to Harry Potter, the fourth Lemony Snicket book, Sims:Superstar, and a Sims expansion pack for my cousin Tim. Can't tell you which one because he reads this - hi hon :P

Otherwise my day was boring. Nutty made me feel better and I played lots of Sims. Now it's really late but I can't sleep even though I've got work.

FANFICTION

I'm an absolute avid slasher. While there are a few het pairings I will occasionally read and be interested in, I'm much more interested in slash. I think there was a definite shift a while back by most good writers from het to slash, forced out by the number of teenies, and also looking for a challenge. I'm actually not all that into smut/porn (gasp!no) unless it's really, really well written.

My biggest fandom is Lord of the Rings Real Person Slash. I also read LotR FPS, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Smallville and The OC on a regular basis. Also? Crowley/Aziraphale. Rawr.

I am too much of a purist in the Buffy and Harry Potter fandoms to read anything with one very important exception:
shoebox_project!!!! because it's just so amazing. I want to run away with Shoebox Sirius and have my way with him.

Spark and Click Pyro/Iceman, R by tanzy. I'm not very active in this fandom but the whole fire/ice thing is captured really well here.

Exigency Pyro/Iceman, NC-17 by gorgeous visbot. Was later the title of his website and the domain where he hosted me. Hot and sad.

Birthright The Faculty, R by baylorsr. How the movie should have really ended. Good shit.

Satyriasis Dom/Rufus Wainwright, NC-17 by philomel. This is good smut right here.

Caliente Orlando/Elijah, PG by airgiodslv. This is one of my all-time favourites.

Two Things Dom/Elijah, PG by airlia_vega. One of the best writers out there, so I had to include her, and this love/hate relationship ficlet is great.

A Dirty Joke Dom/Elijah, G by thepsychicclam. Another one of my favourite authors, on my friends list. I had to include this because today my sister told me about a joke her teacher used to do:
"I can make a pen disappear!" *throws pen over shoulder* "See? Magic."
In the middle of class. I cracked up for ten minutes.

Incomplete Orlando/Elijah, R by zarah5. A very different, unique and stylised piece, good pace, very cool.



Crossing the Street by kaydeefalls Dom/Elijah, PG. Sad but not overly angsty, in which Dom can't settle.

Not Billy Dom/Billy, PG by nippa56. Cute, internal Billy/Dom where Dom thinks about how Billy squeezes toothpaste, because the best stories are simple.
