Bah, life is boring.
The highlight of my day? Reading a story about a green queen to Luke at work. He has a book of fairytales and it has a story that goes something like:
The green queen got up from her red bed. It was a gray day but she had to go out so she put on her blue shoes...
etc. etc. Very cute. Also, hearing Colin Farrell singing I Fought The Law (over at
frozenwithin's journal).
Yesterday was equally boring, I've mostly been working and getting stuff for Sims/playing Sims. Really nothing at all remotely interesting happening to me at the moment. I saw Toy Soldiers again tonight. Not a good movie but Sean's not bad playing against type in it, and he looks good despite the big hair and pink shirts. He was so tough-guy, with punching and swearing, and then as he's going through the grate in the bathroom he says "Geez Louise." Dork. I love him.
Ooh, I did finally get to see Phone Booth though. Colin Farrell really does do an excellent job, it's a terrific movie, particularly for only being shot in 10 days. Very tight, and you don't get bored even though it's basically set on one street, in one phone booth. Colin Farrell is Teh Irish Sex. But his New York accent might need work.
Also, totally forgot to mention this when I went to the LotR exhbition but
lavenda just reminded me: Gil-Galad's shield is there, and while I was geeking out over that my cousins pulled me onwards. What's displayed right next door? Haldir's stuff. I squealed. There was staring. Also, I just kept wanting to look at Haldir's stuff. It's so much cooler than those other elves.
I know I said I'd do a fanfiction interest post next but all my recs are on Harmony and I forgot to get them today, so instead I'm gonna come back to it tomorrow. Today I'll cover two topics:
FILM STUDIES
Yeah, so I'm taking this at uni so you'd hope I was interested in it. I love my course, even when it's really hard and my assignments kick my butt and even when I hate it. Doesn't make much sense but it's true. Ever since I was about 10 I've always taken the entertainment section of the newspaper as soon as I saw it. IMDb is my bible and I'm still pawing my way through 1001 Movies to See Before You Die. I LOVE really snobby geeky movies like Breathless (which is French New Wave) but I think that university course can be really, really obnoxious about movies, which annoys me. Anyway:
The Internet Movie Database, because without it I'd be nothing I tell you!
Film Quotes is a thrice-weekly email where you guess which films quotes are from. It's just for fun really.
themoviequizii. This is one of my favourite communities. Every week they post 15 screencaps and you have to figure out what movies they're from. I'm not a very visual person but it's still fun.
movieicons. Not hard to figure out.
I used to be on a couple of really good movie discussion comms but they died.
GAY RIGHTS
Okay, I do actually do my share for gay rights. I wrote an essay to the government sometime last year, and I've ranted and raved until I was blue in the face, even to my grandmother. I believe in total equality. Not that it's going to happen soon, but I certainly don't see any reason to have such obvious segregation still being supported in our society.
That said, the *real* reason I'm doing this interest today? My right to post pictures of boys kissing. And maybe girls. If I'm feeling generous.

Billy and Sean at the 2003 MTVMAs.

Elijah and Orlando at the LA TTT premiere.

Elijah kissing Dom, with Orli there too, at the NZ FotR premiere.

Dom and Viggo at the Tokyo RotK premiere.

And again, from another angle.

Orlando kissing Viggo (dunno this premiere, no hobbits to judge by - maybe Cannes?)

Viggo repaying the favour at the LA RotK premiere.

Viggo kissing Billy while Sean shoots the wedding scene, from the RotK EE DVD: Cameras in Middle-Earth.

Dom and Shox from World Without Sundays at the TORn Oscars Party 2004.

Shox and Sala Baker. I think it's from Sala's bday party?

Possibly my all-time favourite - Orlando Bloom and Dominic Monaghan at the LA RotK premiere.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers and (I think?) Shawn Hatosy in Tangled.

Colin Farrell in Home at the End of the World (thanks everybody!)

Alan Rickman in some movie or other.

Jason Isaacs in, you guessed it, a movie.

Val Kilmer and somebody in Alexander

Colin Farrell and an exceedingly pretty boy in Alexander.

Thanks to
frozenwithin for the above three.

Joey and Ross!

Kip Pardue kisses (I think?) Ryan Hurst in Remember the Titans.

Nick Brendon and Seth Green in the Buffy cast-hosted MTV's Videos that Don't Suck.

Alyson Hannigan (Willow) and Amber Benson (Tara).

Ewan McGregor and Jonathan Rhys Meyers in Velvet Goldmine (the most hummina scene just about ever.)

Gale Harold (Brian) and Randy Harrison (Justin) on Queer as Folk.

And again...

And in comic book format.

Gale and Hal Sparks (Michael)

More of the same.

Fab Filippo (Ethan) and Randy. I think he's pretty anyway :p

I don't remember their names (I *think* the one on the right might be called Ike) but they're from MadTV. This kiss is part of an 8 minutes sketch that I downloaded from someone a good while back and is one of my favourite things ever. If I can figure out how I'll put it up for people to access. It's sexy and funny.
ETA: Ike Barinholtz and Josh Meyers, MadTV, downloaded from the incomparable
nuregwen a long time ago.

Okay: Bono from U2 on the left, Liam Gallagher on the right (thanks to those that told me!)

Johnny Lee Miller and Jude Law.

Josh Duhamel and Topher Grace in the TRL booth.

Keanu Reeves and somebody called Carl.

Marco and Dylan (?) from Degrassi Junior High

Gackt and Mana.

I know you've all seen it, but come on. In a tennis skirt!
John Mayer and Adam Levine.
I would do more but Gods I'm tired.
All pics and links above. What, a couple dozen of boys kissing not good enough for you?!

The picture that you thought was U2 is actually Liam Gallagher from Oasis in the right, but I'm not sure who on the left. And the one of Colin Farrell kissing a boy is from A Home at the End of the World, which you should check out not only to see Colin playing against type, but for the touching way they portray sexuality.
Just helping out. :)
