Oh my gods, [livejournal.com profile] theidentitycode just took a bite out of my brain, chewed it up and swallowed it.

I've been doing nothing else (aside from taking a nap and talking to Nutty) all day. And I finished it, I did! Yay! Seriously, the game is great, good film noir aspects and a lot of fun to play, just brilliant stuff.

So. Orlando Jonathan Blanchard Bloom. *blinks* You know who looks like Elvis? Michael Madsen.

I found Zaphod's extra head, you just can't see it in the teeny tiny trailer on Amazon. It kind of pops up at one point.

Oh, and just in case you're interested, Pearl Harbour is really, truly THAT BAD. It is shockingly, horrendously bad, and I can't even understand how a script that convaluted with a lead actor that bad could even get made. I flicked to it in the vague hope of homoerotic resolution, and it came but at a terrible, terrible price. So. Bad.

Hmmm...my next interest seems to be rather broad...

SLASH

Believe it or not, I got into slash, particularly RPS, just as it was on the cusp of becoming mainstream. It wasn't mainstream just yet - as far as I can remember that happened around about the time that Lord of the Rings went massive. Another case of me getting into something just before it took off. It started fairly innocently, looking for a picture somebody had told me I should see of two guys from an old boyband (can't remember which one, sorry) hugging that was cute. I found the picture. It was on a fanfiction site. I didn't like the band much but somehow I knew in the back of my mind that this had to be going on and it didn't surprise me at all. Maybe I'd come across slash in my het-writing days as a young teen and forgotten about it. Whatever, I clicked a link and happened across The Best Slashfiction Page Ever, where [livejournal.com profile] synchronik used to post before [Bad username or site: http://www.puppyshelter.org/joeseats @ livejournal.com]Joe's Eats was set up.

And then I liked it and started reading a heap more, and got into Lord of the Rings, and then started seeing slash everywhere because it's difficult not to once you start. And that's it. Exciting, isn't it?
To be honest I don't read that much porn (gasp! no! I hear you say.) Not that I don't like porn. But I find that most of it is rather repetitive and I'm much more interested in boring stuff like character development. And boykissing.

So what do you say we do with a dash of images, a pinch of reccomendations and just a sprinkling of LJ communities, hmm? Firstly, here are some slashy pictures that you guys haven't seen on my journal before. If you want more, check out my previous Boys Kissing post. (There's girls in there if you look hard enough). If you guys have ANY pictures of guys kissing I don't have, feel free to post them! Everybody loves it. And those who don't can put up with it, this is my bloody journal.

These caps were made just for me by [livejournal.com profile] ooglymoogly.

Some other stuff:

Having scarred [livejournal.com profile] melissajane14 for life...

Jake and Jared in Highway. OMG SO PRETTY. *loves that movie*

JRM and Ewan in Velvet Goldmine.

I can't believe I missed this before!! It's from A Knight's Tale, Alan Tudyk and Heath Ledger.

Slashy only because it's from Brokeback Mountain. I can't wait to see that movie, if only to see slash and finally be proven right.

They slash themselves.

C'mon, Romeo and Mercutio were totally having it off. Especially in the old movie, as someone on my list has been proving recently.

Brad Pitt and Antonio Banderas in Interview with the Vampire.

Welcome to The Random:

See Tom Welling in there? Me neither, at first. But he totally is.

River Phoenix, on the other hand, is pretty easy to spot.

I don't know what these guys are from but guh.

In the interest of fairness:

But I'm A Cheerleader. Not a bad movie actually, plus I love Clea DuVall.

Crowley/Aziraphale is hot.

Poking Badgers with Spoons is a nice fic archive.

Living is What Fades You by [livejournal.com profile] idees_fixes, Diego/Gael. This is BEAUTIFUL. The other one is good too but this one is just amazing.

Get You by [livejournal.com profile] candle_beck, Ryan/Seth. It's cute and very good at explaining the Seth/Ryan dynamic.

Bullet in the Gun by [livejournal.com profile] peeshwank, Dom/Billy. Violence (not against each other.) Not usually my kind of thing, but this one is very good. Dom & Billy get mugged.

Communities:

[livejournal.com profile] fellow_shippers, the best LotRiPS community.

[livejournal.com profile] lotrpschallenge, where I judge yay!

[livejournal.com profile] domlijah and [livejournal.com profile] elijahslashdom, which are both fairly obvious I would wager.

[livejournal.com profile] _charolastras_ is a FANTASTIC Y Tu Mama Tambien slash community.

[livejournal.com profile] theoc_slash

[livejournal.com profile] contrelamontre. I haven't participated in too long, but this is the best fic community out there IMHO.

ETA: to continue the slashy theme, Tony Head on Little Britain (rightclicksave please) thanks to [livejournal.com profile] presidente_. Joy! I laughed so hard I cried. Plus ASH kissing another man. Love love love it.

So yeah, pics and links are above.

I miss you Josie - 145 days

But pretty, right?

From: [identity profile] lexslave.livejournal.com

From: [identity profile] windsor.livejournal.com

I was jumping flists and someone linked to your boy kissing posts, and, there it was! :)) It was an awesome surprise, as things turn out.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

lmao well I was just impressed since I only wrote this entry about half an hour before you found it!

From: [identity profile] rambling-roses.livejournal.com

It may not be a kiss exactly (eh, it's nearly there!), but PoA has a rather lovely Remus/Sirius hug...

I love how Remus nuzzles his head into the crook of Sirius' neck. *sigh*

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Yeah I know :D I love it. But my caps have gone missing, so I need to download new ones :(

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Oh and I love Snape's "old married couple" line. The first two times I saw the movie I didn't even hear the next line I was squeeing so hard :D

From: [identity profile] rambling-roses.livejournal.com

That line is also especially interesting because of how Remus and Sirius act with each other in OotP, ie just like an old married couple!

Pearl Harbour is my guilty pleasure. i can't help it, Josh Hartnett totally makes me cry each time thanks to that cheesy corny horrendous music ...

oh well. we all have our dirty little secrets. not so secret in my case. lol

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Josh Hartnett wasn't that bad in it. It was Ben Affleck. ANd Kate Beckinsale. And the writing and direction and everything. Augh. *bangs head against desk repeatedly*
