Went to class today, and it was pretty good. I'm feeling a hell of a lot better now. Still haven't organised French though.

Hmm. Something like 50 comments on my last post suggests that the link was pimped around a bit. Which is fine, but now I've just got a whole bunch of people saying "I don't like Krum/Fleur" all through my email inbox, and now I am sad. I don't like negativity before we've seen the film, and people tend to judge too much on appearances IMHO. The Krum picture is (to me) obviously from when he attacked Cedric with the Cruciatus curse; he looks much nicer in the earlier picture which I've posted here too.

I've discovered that I only like smut in some pairings. Dom/Elijah and Dom/Billy does nothing for me but Dom/Orlando...hoo boy. And Sayid/Sawyer is possible the hottest thing *ever*.

Link of the Day is The Stanford Mendicants. They came to ISSH once and I loved them, and their CDs are great :) We have Room to Grow and I listen to it all the time. They're an a capella vocal group.

I'm sorry I was the first who started with a "negative" comment on the GoF pictures...didn't want to inadvertently start a negative trend. I really hope that the movie will be great, and as you (or someone else, I don't remember) said, that picture of Fleur is taken at a very stressful moment, so maybe yeah, she is not exactly at her best there. Can't wait to see the movie so we can find out! :)

I'm glad you're feeling better; I was supposed to go to uni this morning but then I looked out of the window and all I could see was white...not snow, but fog. :/ I'll go in the afternoon.

People were all negative before - and after - POA too. I never understood it, especially the negativity after the movie was seen. I think it's by far better than the first two, and if some things are left out, so what? As for how an actor looks as a character, there are many other actors that don't look exactly as they do in the books. Emma Watson is way prettier than Hermione is described, Alan Rickman is way sexier than Snape should ever be, his name escapes me right now, but the kid who plays Neville isn't anything at all like Neville is described in the books, and even JKR has said that Draco is not nearly as cute as Tom Felton. But no one complains about those people because they're used to them; they've put the actor's face in their heads when they read the books now. Those people should keep in mind that Book!Fleur is not entirely human, is other-worldly, and that it would be virtually impossible to find a girl in the right age frame from the right country who can act well to play the part. I think the girl they got is adorable, and am willing to bet once we see her in action a lot of opinions will change. And yes, I think the guy playing Krum is more attractive than Krum is described in the books, but that certainly doesn't bother me, just like it never bothered me that Emma Watson wasn't given huge teeth.

I reckon PoA was better than the others too. I mean, people are entitled to their opinions, of course...I just happen to think that some people form opinions without ever giving themselves the chance to like something. Which is really kind of sad. PoA was just a beautiful, well-crafted film.

I like Krum. I'm reserving judgement on Fleur, since that was obviously not a shot of her in full Veela glory. You wouldn't want to be while battling your way through a labyrinth of ev0l, I should think.

Neville = Mathew Lewis. I think he started out the way Neville is described but thinned out a lot between CoS and PoA.
