Bah, Monday morning work is cursed.

I found out, literally this morning, that there was a guest lecture at uni and raced off to it and didn't work. Didn't go in to this afternoon either...I kind of forgot. Will punish myself by going in later and forcing myself to watch the whole video no matter how boring it may be.

So excited about Peter Jackson on Saturday.

Why didn't anyone tell me I had an outdate website in my userinfo for ages? Meanwhile, I will never be able to get through the 40 people who have friended me. In fact, I'm thinking of cutting back on the friends list I already have. *sigh*

Following the Viggorli-biased travesty that was the slashy_oscars, my mates _jamjar and anne_elliott set up monaboyd_awards. Of course there are still pairings left out, but at least these awards admit it.

Also an interesting link, if anyone's missed the Lost diary on abc.com (I hate that bloody site, it's useless and I can never get the videos) is the infamous diary. I'm telling you right now, I reckon the woman that drowned was *not* wanted by the island. It killed her.

Excuse me, what do you mean? I see between the winners an Hugo Weaving/Orlando Bloom, a Viggo/Sean/Orlando/Karl, and even more than 1 awards to an OrliBean and an OrliBana. Then, Football by deleerium is an Orlijah if I'm not wrong? The nominations were made by readers, not by the organizers. So I don't understand. Of course I voted for viggorli fics (ah, but I'm one of the persons that voted for the Orlibean and BanaBloom ones too)... I read occasionally even monaboyd but that's not my pairing, so I think that it should have been the monaboyd readers, or the domlijah ones (you know I read those fics too, I read a domlijah by you if I'm not wrong, right?) to nominate and vote their fics... Maybe in that community there were more viggorli like me, that's it, simple like that. All my friends voted there and we spread the word. Maybe other pairings would have made more publicity? I don't understand the remark, really, sometimes I'd just like to be a... i don't know, Bernard/Hugo slasher, to be left alone LOL :p It's not our faults if we are many ;) Sorry, Just saying, no hard feelings of course, I even promised to Anne that I'll read asap her monaboyd fics ;) It's just that it's not the first time that I read something similar (not about the slashy oscars but about viggorli in general) and I wanted to answer to that sentence. Then, to everyone his opinion of course.

Okay, look at what you said. How many hobbits are in there? And how many hobbit slashers exist on the internet?

I read a lot of the stories that won and I can't say I agree with much. Nothing, but nothing I voted for won.

I'm not saying being a Viggorli slasher is bad. Hell, I'm not a Monaboyd slasher. I've read good and bad of almost every pairing, and a lot of what I read on that page was bad. I don't mean to attack the pairing, just the system.

But then I've never liked systems.

As I said, maybe not in that community, or better, maybe they didn't vote enough there... This is my opinion, and I agree with almost every story that won 'cause I voted for them (and my friends too), even if I would have liked to see some others win as well ... so, we'll have just to... agree to disagree I think ;). No problem at all.
