The most satisfying part of running Naveen-Andrews.net is being able to go through and put all the swearing back in.
The least satisfying part is that I'm still either not linked from Google or a LONG way back. How do I get myself linked better from Google? Does anyone know?
I went to see Hitch and bought a jumper today. It's a zip-up chocolate brown one with pink, blue and white stripes. I think it's hawt but my mother and sister hate it :D
The movie was okay, it reminded of like a rom-com Alfie actually - Will Smith got all pretty and metro and surrounded himself with pretty women. And the two movies are about as good as each other, really - both have pacing problems and rely on the (not inconsiderable) charisma of their leading man to get them through. And Will did look very, very nice. Plus Albert was just about the coolest character ever, I liked him a lot, so he made the movie worth seeing - and there's some teeny, tiny boykissing action. Gods but I can't stand Eva Mendes.
Tonight I saw Summer Stock, Judy Garland's last film for MGM, tonight. It was...well, not great. I love both Judy and Gene Kelly, but I think the only number I've seen of them together that I've liked was "Be a Clown". It was interesting to see her last MGM number ("Get Happy") in...er, 'context', though. You can tell she's got a lot of problems while filming, but when they get her at a good time she's amazing.
This is where you can see what a total and complete dork I am for musicals, particularly the old MGM ones. I think I've now actually seen *every* Gene Kelly musical.

1. Hit Me Baby One More Time - Billy Boyd
He sang this on Sharon Osbourne's show. I just love the moment of realisation they have at the beginning, and he does a great job!
2. The Rhythm - The Cat Empire
I love The Cat Empire, they're an Aussie band I saw in concert last year and they're great, jazzy, very original and interesting.
2. Al Otro Lado del Rio - Jorge Drexler
This was the Oscar winning song this year, and for once the accolades are deserved. It's a beautiful song. In Spanish.
3. Sleep While I Drive - Melissa Ethridge & k.d. lang
This is MY FAVOURITE SONG at the moment. It's just beautiful, and the vocals are amazing. Usually when two people of the same gender do a duet it feels like there's something missing but I didn't get that at all with this, they really compliment each other.
4. Givin' Up - The Darkness
This song makes me laugh for some reason. Anyway, it's The Darkness, so you pretty much know what it's going to be like.
5. Pink - Aerosmith
This song DEFINITELY makes me laugh, and it has some interesting history for me :D it's still a great song though!
6. Woman - Maroon 5
Maroon 5 are great and this is an older song by them which is and nifty.
7. Annabelle Christie - World WIthout Sundays
This was my first ever World Without Sundays song! I like Drunk better, but this is...well, it's uplifting, in a strange sort of way. And very easy on the ears. Shox can sing AND he kisses boys, what more do you want?
8. My Phone's On Vibrate For You - Rufus Wainwright
This is the strangest and most beautiful song ever.
9. March of the Sinister Ducks - Sinister Ducks
Okay, so maybe this is the strangest song ever. It's HILARIOUS, and if you subsititute "penguins" for "ducks" then you have my beliefs about penguins. Organised crime, I'm telling you.
10. Without You I'm Nothing - Placebo feat. David Bowie
Placebo! With David Bowie!!! This is SO FUCKING COOL it hurts.
11. The Shining - Badly Drawn Boy
Actually, I think I've already uploaded this recently. Ah, well. It's the song that ends the episode of QaF where Brian's dad dies, after the bowling scene, when Mikey hugs Brian. And it's awesome.
12. Belleville Rendez-Vous - Triplets of Belleville
This was up for the Oscar for Best Song last year, and it lost to Into the West (which I like better, but this is still awesome.) In French.

It's not a bad movie, it's just not a great movie. Not compared to a lot of the others those guys did. I don't think they work all that well together.

To be honest I haven't seen ANY of those movies, I just have the pics from them. Good boykissing movies I've seen include Psycho Beach Party and the all-time best, Y Tu Mama Tambien.
