Okay, I thought it might finally be time to tell you the results of my icon contest.

These are all the lovely entries:

by [livejournal.com profile] killerbeautiful.

As you can see, I chose [livejournal.com profile] _dernhelm's icon, but thank you all for your gorgeous contributions. Also, this was NOT a popularity contest, so please don't look at it that way! Thankyou :)

I watched Signs tonight and found it to be rather mediocre actually. I like the acting (I particularly like Joaquin) but the kids kind of annoyed me in that too-smart way, while the adults all seemed rather dumb. Plus the aliens were *not* scary.

Meanwhile, can anyone else get into the Fuselage? Coz I sure as hell can't.

[livejournal.com profile] rosemending has written Elijah/Hans Jensen. She is the coolest omg.

The next stop on my tour of my films folder is (the original) Star Wars. I fucking love Star Wars. I would use my Yoda icon, but he's busy right now.

I love Han and Lando.

So it wasn't just me.

Okay, it's back now, everything's fine :)

Those Star Wars pics are great! And no...I can't get on the Fuselage either...it won't pull it up. Haven't been on there in a while though. hmm...

Han Solo is so sexy.

How often you go there shouldn't have any effect on whether or not you can see it when you do go!

Are you normally afraid of aliens? Because I am, and Signs scared me a lot, but it didn't scare anyone I know at all because they aren't afraid of aliens. Though the suspenseful way it was edited did get to them. I think that movie is brilliant; it's in my top ten favorites of all time. And yes, Joaquin was particularily good in it. For a while I wasn't sure if I had a crush on him or his character because my interest in him started because of that movie. I love how he performs when directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

I've heard a lot of people are not able to get into the Fuselage. Something must be up with the server.

i happened to watch Signs again over the weekend and i loved it too. even got my mum hooked to night's movies (she caught the Village the week before). like you, im not sure if it's joaquin the actor that i like, or his character in the movie. he has this subtle attractive quality that draws you in. i did rent ladder 49 though and it wasnt that great.

I don't usually like Joaquin all that much, but in Signs I thought he was great.

Yeah, see I'm not scared of aliens. At all. Except for in Starship Troopers, but I think that's more my fear of bugs than aliens.

I think Night is a brilliant director but sometimes his ideas just don't work - I'm not overly fond of The Village either (I like it, but nothing's had the same impact on me as The Sixth Sense.) And I downright disliked Unbreakable.

There are giant plot holes in Signs: If they were 'allergic' to water, why did they try to take over a planet that was covered in it? I didn't like the preachiness of it either.

I'm glad you liked the icon! :)

I liked Signs. I like it more as a comedy (yeah I'm weird) but I could have done without the preachy stuff.

It's gorgeous, thankyou very much!

There were a few good funny moments, but I completely agree on the preachiness of the film.
