Welcome to my day from hell, hope you liked the trip.
1. I wake up after 4 hours sleep, shower and get out the door to catch the bus.
2. While I stand at the gate Clare yells something at me. Unable to hear, I turn around, my hand on the open gate. Turns out she's yelling at me to close the gate because the dog is out. Spend next 15 minutes getting dog back into the house. Miss the bus.
3. Run half the 20-minute walk to work so as not to be any later than I already am.
4. Spend next 4 hours walking to the lake pushing a push-chair, racing around after Luke during many escape bids and attempts to eat various things from the ground, put up with hyperactive Luke pinching me repeatedly, and walk back from the lake pushing push-chair. Get sunburnt.
5. Tom is late after misjudging starting time. I snap at him on the phone, then feel bad.
6. Come home for all of 45 minutes and make lunch before Clare and I are supposed to go to uni so I can watch a film and Clare can go shopping. We're running late. Clare breaks a bowl in the kitchen, we clean it up. Takes 10 minutes.
7. We miss the bus, but Clare insists we walk to the bus stop anyway. Once there I discover Clare had cut her foot on glass. Clare and I have a screaming match.
8. I come home. Clare comes home and puts a bandaid on her foot. Then glowers at me for making her miss the bus, which is apparently my fault. Clare goes shopping alone as it is too late for me to watch the film and come home with them.
9. I get my period. Cramps I've been having all day are suddenly explained.
10. I develop a migraine. Not particularly surprised.
I did get to see Oprah though and Jude Law was on it doing cooking with Gwyneth Paltrow and looking cute.

It means "Daughter of the Sun" in Swahili.
Yeah, okay. It means I like green a lot. Happy?
2. Elaborate on your default icon??
It's Dom. It has my name on it. I recently redid it, with a couple of soft light base layers, a green soft light layer and a light texture.
3. Did you lie about your age anywhere on the net?
Sometimes if I'm signing up for a site I'll never actually use but just want to access an article on or something. I make up characters. For instance, Bob TheFish is 35.
4. How many LJ friends do you have?
I think it's around 150
5. What is your current status?
Paid, extra userpics.
6. What are you wearing right now?
Pyjamas, ugh boots, green zip-up jumper and socks.
7. What is life to you?
The pursuit of happiness.
8. What is love to you?
A month to do whatever the hell I wanted - money and distance being no obstacles.
9. What kind of people do you hate most?
Homophobes and hypocrites. Also, unappreciative people. And dentists.
10. What type of people do you like most?
People who aren't afraid to be themselves, even if it means standing out.
11. What makes you happy?
Happy surprises.
12. Are you musically inclined?
Not particularly. I can play a tune on the piano by ear (the BASIC tune mind) but I;m not one of those musicislife people.
13. What would you do if you woke up one morning and found out that the person you love most didn't exist or was killed?
Go back to sleep.
14. If you could go back in time and change one thing what would it be?
I would have left 5 minutes later to go watch that film at uni.

rosemending's current piece of genius. I don't know how she manages to always get the reader emotionally involved with the characters in spite of the weird situations she puts them in.
