Stayed home sick today, so here's a bit of a movie review post.
Today I saw Saved! and Star Wars Episode II. Saved! was cute and fun and filled with genuinely likeable characters (and good actors), and it had a pretty good message. Shame it was shunned by the crazy Christian right, because they're the ones who need it - the rest of us have this pretty much figured out. "Differently abledness" is the coolest phrase ever.
Episode II - well, now I know I was justified in putting this off for so long. There's three hours or so of my life I'll never get back. Seriously, how do good actors get sucked into the badly scripted oblivion that is the new Star Wars? Not that the old ones were exactly well-written but at least they had heart. How stupid did Chris Lee look on that little racer bike thing? Why can't I understand a word Hayden Christensen says? WTF is up with Ewan McGregor's bad, bad hair? Still, C3PO and Artoo are awesome.

Which living person do you most admire?
JK Rowling/Joss Whedon/Peter Jackson. Yes, all three. Shut up, this is my journal. I can do what I want.
What is the trait you deplore in yourself?
Lack of motivation/ambition. I have, like, none.
What is the trait you most deplore in others?
Narrow-mindedness.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Melbourne right after Nagoya.
What is your favorite journey?
Any where I'm going where I want to be. I hate the empty feeling you get when you're going somewhere you don't want to be.
On what occasion do you lie?
When my mother wants to know about my future at uni.
What do you dislike most about your appearance?
The fact that I have no chin. It's like mouth, meet neck. Yuck.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
"Totally", "you should talk", "hi!it'sme", "nifty".
What is your greatest regret?
I don't think I have one, just lots of little regrets. And I don't believe in 'no regrets' either.
What or who is the greatest love of your life?
Right now? Harry Potter. No, not the kid, you preverts.
When and where were you happiest?
Lots of times: at New Year's '01 hanging out with my friends, at my very first convention, at my 21st birthday party...
Which talent would you most like to have?
I would like to Apparate. Would make things much easier.
If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be?
I'd make my mother and sister just a little less sensitive. They have this whole martyr thing going that just drives me bonkers.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Surviving adolescence.
If you were to die and come back as a person or thing, what do you think it would be?
An 8-year-old boy. Since I apparently act like one.
If you could choose what to come back as, what would it be?
I'd come back as a movie projector.

My Lord of the Rings shelf.

Two of my friends went to see Revenge of the Sith at the world premiere or something. They met George Lucas and everything. They said it was good, but they also thought the first two (Episodes 1&2, not a New Hope and the ESB), so I have no idea.
