Oh, bugger. I've updated too much today and have nothing left to say.

Will be taking the exam I know nothing about, I've decided. I suppose I'll have to try to watch bits of all the movies on Tuesday after work. Should be interesting, at the very least. An exercise in futility, perhaps.

I came *this close* to crying over shoebox_project today. They ripped out my still-beating heart from my chest, but only in the best ways. Such fantastic writing.

I have got four new icons. Don't really know how long these Dom one will stick around, though. I like a bunch from my last post, and it all depends on whether or not the promised header is coming, with lots of pics of Dom in The Sex Jacket.. Replaced the old Anakin/Obi-wan icon (the gorgeous one by yodaamidala because the new one is far less subtle. And I found some iharthdarth icons in frozenwithin's journal, and well...tada.

Link of the Day: go tiebreak at the monaboyd_awards. Do it for England.

Hey,
I got a question you know with your icons you made the Dom ones, well I'm having trouble making some in photoshop so can you help me in some way, I'm using no 7 oh and where do you get your pics from there great, do you know anything about flashing banners, if so pm me or email me my email is daphne_jill2@yahoo.com

I know nothing about flashing anything. I believe icon_tutorial is the best place for all this.

To make a good base, NEVER put the focus of your icon in the centre. Make a 100 x 100 base. Copy and paste it twice. Screen and sharpen the first layer, and soft light and sharpen the second. Often you have to play with the opacity of the layers, add more or less soft lit or screened layers. Sometimes they look better if a couple of layers are desaturated.

Download as many brushes and gradients as possible. And have fun!

I get my pics from my collection. I have about 5000 Dom pics, picked up from all over. If you want to keep up with the latest ones, friend tinalikesstuff and patsie. I'm so glad you like my icons, but I'm afraid I'm not going to be that much help. The best way to improve is through experiments and experience.
