FUCK.

Actor Gary Oldman is quoted briefly speaking about his role as Sirius Black in an interview posted on IGN. Mr.Oldman says that his part in the Goblet of Fire film is very small, noting:

I'll disappoint you because I'm just a tiny, tiny little part in the next one. I'm just embers in the fire. But if I do Harry Potter five, I'm featured in five. And, oh, they'll have to pay me big bucks for that. (He laughs)

FUCK.

Ditto! :(

So that means we won't have all the stuff with the trio going to see him in the cave, then! :(

ARGH!

yeah, seriously, that stuff is vital! that's when snape finds out he's an animagus and they do their little pretend-to-make-up thing! grrrrr..... but maybe they've bumped that to the fifth one? i mean GoF is humongous-- i read somewhere that the first three films came out to about a page per minute, and if that held true for GoF it would be six hours long.

either way, i hope they don't fuck it up.

Wait, Sirius isn't in GOF all that much anyway, mostly through correspondence in letters. His main appearance is in the cave, which isn't all that much really. I'm not surprised that Gary's not in the movie much. At least he's in it, though. It'd be worse if he were cut out completely. (Mrs. Weasley was, and I hear Percy as well).

I feel that it's important for his presence to be felt throughout the movie, that the relationship between him and Harry is built upon so that his death is more effective. I also would have liked him to show up at the end, when Dumbledore is assigning tasks to everyone. I'm worried that those scenes won't be included, which bothers me a lot.

I totally agree with you on all those points! :)

Your icon's gorgeous, by the way! :)

Thankyou! That scene almost made me cry, knowing what's to come. I thought it was just the right side of sappy.

Wah. Not the hugest Gary Oldman fan, but he did a great job as Sirius and I love the character. :(

*channels Darth Vader*

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

argh, the bit in the cave is a great scene, they are probably going to give the line about treating ones inferiors to Dumbledore or something. I hate it when they Disney-ify the books. They make them all moralistic and, God forbid, American.*rolls eyes and pouts*

Well the director of this one is British.

I'm more annoyed about the closing scenes. Sirius shows up to help Harry, and then Dumbledore assigns them all the tasks, and without Sirius OR Mrs. Weasley....

*cries*

but if you think about Sirius is really only required for 2 scenes. In the caves and at the end so technically speaking he wouldn't be in it much but still be there for the pivotal scenes.

I hope.

If he's only in the ashes, they're only doing the fireplace scene. No caves, no end.

Bastards.
