"The motel scene is in there as well (nothing graphic though), the most graphic sex scene is the first night in the tent, but it is very tasteful, kissing and groping and sort of stuff, sex as well but without much flesh (they keep their clothes on mostly 'cause they are freezing their asses off. Do not worry, however, there is plenty of non-sexual nudity in the film, with both boys jumping into the lake, washing themselves in the river etc... Lee has chosen exactly the right moments and has done it very tastefully. It is never exploitative but rather functional."
Sounds like the fine line between offensive and non-existant has been very nicely walked.
Gay Cowboy Film Likely to Upset Conservative US. May I point out the terrible grammar and this line:
Hollywood has failed to embrace homosexuality in the same way as its TV sitcoms, like Will and Grace and Queer as Folk, have done.
Sitcoms?!? What Queer as Folk have they been watching, pray tell?!
A couple more links: Kung-Fu Oscar Winner Tackles Other Genre, Gay Cowboy Film Conquers Venice, Gay Cowboy Film Rides Into Venice, and Ledger's Gay Turn Stuns Critics. The last one has references to comments made by my favourite critic Margaret Pomeranz and a wonderfully suggestive shot of Jake that I will post below. Huzzah! Still, not too fond of Heath Ledger.

The caption in the SMH article said the film would be this big, but I'm pretty sure most of us were thinking something else entirely. Ah, Jake. At least he's loveable.
ETA: GIP.
Is it gay cowboy month yet?
