Why'd they stick Cedric all the way back there? *pouts*
Okay, I want a new layout so that I can have tags. Only thing is, I suck at layouts. Anyone wanna help a girl out? I'll repay you in icons or picspams if you wish!
It's not just hot. Hermione's cool in her own way, but definitely a nerd, and she's very pretty but it doesn't matter to her. Emma tries too hard. It doesn't work for me.
I always thought Rupert was overlooked. Everybody's all "oooh, Daniel's so hot, Emma's so sexy." Nobody ever considers the sidekick, even if he has lovely floppy red hair and a nice....um, face. Totally face.
Well, I've always considered Rupert the cutest of the trio. But then, I like redheads. And Ron is my favorite character. I just wish he'd turn 18 already so I can stop feeling dirty when ever I see a picture and think "OMG HOT!"
If you like my layout, I think I can probably help you with that a bit...and I know a thing or two about Opal, but I can't say that I'm a genius at layouts. Still, if you need help, ask away! :)
I don't think it's really the growing up process so much as the complete disintegration of interest in making her up. In the first film she was very Hermione, now she's just Emma. It doesn't work.
I'm flattered, but not friending back because I have a huuuge flist. Sorry!
I'd just prefer them to focus on her getting pretty for the Yule Ball and then looking ordinary for the rest of the time. Otherwise it doesn't work. Which is annoying to me.
I don't think Hermione looks the way she should, but I don't get the freaking out over it. It's not bad here, but its being discussed in epic proportions everywhere else. It's not like she's meant to be ugly, walking around in Dobby's pillowcase in the books.
It's harder for Emma though, I guess. She's just growing up. When you grow up, you can't control your boobs, or how your body grows out. To expect her to forever look like SS!Hermione forever is a bit of a stretch.
Your icon is cute! I loved those pics. I love Robert Pattinson. Guh.
I'm not going to kill you, don't be melodramatic. I don't expect her to be ugly, but she's not supposed to care about her looks. It's got nothing to do with the size of her breasts or how gorgeous she is, they're always wearing robes in the books so you can't tell. It wouldn't hurt them to give her the bushy hair and dress her down a little, then really bring her out for the Yule Ball scene. Dramatically the arc of the story works better that way.
I'm really not looking forward to this film much with the exception of Cedric anyway, so I don't know why I'm so bothered by it.
I'm not going to kill you, don't be melodramatic Tee hee was just worried. The last time I told HP fans to calm down was when everyone saw Teh Pink Dress of Doom!!!11!!!. I told them that the dress has nothing to do with anything, and I'd be worried if the dress had to strangle Voldemort, but it couldn't, since it was pink, not blue. That's a plot point. But it isn't, and everyone should calm down. People replied and wanted to hurt me cos I wasn't sensitive. Or something, lol.
Maybe they had to prettify her for the poster. I actually like how her hair is nice!curly now. If book five still describes her as bushy haired, then she should be...otherwise I'm going to assume that her mother dragged her to the parlor. Except Hermione's not really the type to let herself be dragged to the parlor, isn't she? lol. Didn't she keep her hair nice after the ball, or was it just the teeth?
I don't care about the dress colour, I care about the character development. Hermione's hair definitely goes back to bushy after the ball, I remember her telling Harry it was too much trouble to make it nice. It was just her teeth, which was after the Engorgement Charm in Potions class.
There's also the fact that this new Hermione has essentially existed since the second film, which irks me. I wouldn't care if it wasn't so anti-canon.
Yeah, I already bitched and whined about how they always make him look like he's going to wet himself. I hate it because Ron is one of my favourite characters.
My layout has tags. It is the S2 layout called "Smooth Sailing" and it has a bunch of color options. The only thing I changed was the font. Wish I could help more. What's even cooler is that when I click into a friends entry, I can see all their tags, too :)
blah I don’t like Pink!Hermione... I feel like Canon!Hermione would never dress in pink, I dunno why... oh yeah maybe because of a thing called Hogwarts uniforms??? I already think that LongHair!Harry, LongHair!Ron and LongHair!Twins are weird... but that may be just me, never happy with book adaptations... but Pink!Hermione? Come on!
Oh, I don't care about the colours. Hermione could wear pink. But she has BUSHY BLOODY HAIR and is unrecognisable at the Yule Ball. In this she's just pretty all the time, and nothing like book!Hermione.
I love Ron with the long hair. For purely asthetic reasons.
Just a thought here though... JK did write into the books that Krum likes Hermione from afar without ever realy speaking with her until he invites her to the Yule Ball, right? He doesn't even know how to pronounce her name. Doesn't that somewhat suggest she looks far less nerdy and frizzy than in the first book? I mean, yes, she does have big teeth which are pointed out b/c they're shortened to a nicer length by Madam Pomfrey, but other than that, nothing in that book mentions her looking completely unattractive. And if Krum, who's a world-renowned Quidditch player who probably has girls fawning all over him likes her from the get-go, I thought she might have already grown into a bit of a fox. Just because Harry and Ron don't notice doesn't mean it hasn't happened. They're not the most observant kids in school.
I know Hermione's supposed to be pretty. It's not the attractiveness that really bothers me. Hermione is supposed to be pretty in her own bushy-haired, dressed-down way, not in a highly fashionable and cool way, do you know what I mean? She's supposed to be nearly unrecognisable at the Yule Ball, but in the film she's just the same as always. She's definitely still bushy-haired in the books because JKR mentions it after the Ball - Hermione says it's too much trouble to make her hair look nice all the time. Hermione is far too practical to go in for all that sort of thing. I just feel, personally, that it detracts from her character that the movie Hermione is so fashion-conscious and constantly pretty.
