Well, it is based on a short story, which I would recommend reading before you see the film personally.

I have the short story...I just haven't read it yet. I kinda like to wait until I see the movie when it's based on a book/story because otherwise I'm overanalyzing the changes and whatnot while I'm watching it. With the exception of Harry Potter, which I notice the differences but choose not to care because they're almost like two different things (the books and the movies).
