I uploaded a bunch of songs for [livejournal.com profile] nuregwen, thought I'd share.

Stand By Me by Ben E. King - everybody should have this
New York, New York by Frank Sinatra
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
Hit Me With Your Best Shot by Pat Benatar
My Sharona by The Knack
Time Warp from Rocky Horror

ETA: Dom's religious beliefs are very similar to mine.

ETA: gotta love [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes.

Also, I made a new icon from the pics [livejournal.com profile] patsie posted. Well, I've made a couple, not open to the public yet. But I had to have this one for myself ;)

Almost 2 am; midnight snack time.

I love how down to earth Dom is. He has such great reasons for his beliefs regarding religion, and isn't at all afraid to have his opinions heard. That's especially cool now that these days all these people in Hollywood are becoming more religious, in some cases.

Metaquotes wins at life. So does your new icon!

I love that he's honest and doesn't bullshit.

Hee, thanks :D

Love the new icon GQ! Sweeeet! The Dom interview was good in that I love his honesty and that he knows what he doesn't want with firm conviction, but... *thinks of how best to word this* ... I don't share his view.

Thanks for the link though. I do like to read what he has to say.

Oh yeah...and the bit about his middle name...I LOVE THAT! Luke after Luke Skywalker...Dom is just...awesome. :-D

Hee, "can I choose Chewbacca?" was my favourite part. That's genius.

I agree with him on...pretty much all of it, actually. Which is interesting.

Glad you liked the interview, and the icon. You'll be able to snag it when it goes to the public with the next batch ;)

I shall gladly be snagging it when you put it up to be snagged.

Hmm...I'm not wanting to cause any more arguments in my life...and I really find no purpose in arguing religion because I've done it all of my life. More than that...everyone is entitled to believe what they want. I for one don't want someone telling me that my beliefs are wrong any more than I would tell someone else that their beliefs are wrong. I have a very strong belief in God. And it was not drilled into me by means of parents forcing me to go to church or a religious school...it's just what I want to believe and do believe. And if Dom...or you...or anyone else believes differently then so mote it be.

That's all...it just hurt my heart to read that my huge crush doesn't believe in God...but I'm over it. So...to get off this subject...cuz I don't like to talk about this stuff much... I am about to tear my eyes out that everyone that I know around here (my hometown) has not read the HBP...or has only read the first few chapters. Yes, all of my friends are in medical school and barely have time to sleep, but GAH! It's killing me to talk about the book!

Oh, I think everybody's allowed to believe what they want. Just because I think a belief's ridiculous doesn't mean anyone should stop believing it.

I was truly shocked to find out just how many people believe wholly in creationism and don't think evolution can be 'scientifically proven', though. Really, truly shocked. It's like saying you don't believe in gravity to my mind.

I don't believe in God. Seriously, just because we don't believe doesn't mean our lives are miserable and empty, or that we're completely amoral, or anything. I feel perfectly content.

Meanwhile, my boss reads Harry Potter, so I get to talk to him about it. And I've converted most everyone I know.
