I have a great big pulsating headache and panadol is doing nothing.

And now a somtachache too.

I'm just so tired and out of it today, I have been all day, very scattered. I think I'll only go to work for an hour or so tomorrow. I wish Laura had gone on Idol tonight but I didn't like Natalie much either, so eh. I was surprised James was in the bottom 3 and Daniel wasn't.

Melodramatic or no? You decide.

MPreg is canon.

Just read this at [livejournal.com profile] cult_sbp:
I was doing some reading for history, and it somehow came up that the latin word for wolf is "lupus," plural "lupi." I wonder if this was where Lupin came from? I always assumed it was for the flower, because he's just so cute. I just found that interesting.

Okay, you know, I'm not one to pick on people. But this is a disturbing element I've noticed creeping into my flist: the "Gee, y'think?" factor. I mean, really. Remus Lupin is the biggest foreshadow name EVER, except maybe Fenrir Greyback. I swear werewolves must go after their prey based on their names. They go through the registry. "Oh look, a Remus Lupin has been born in the North, let's go."
There was a brilliant metaquote about how he might as well have been called Wolfy McWolferson.

I'm really, really busy with Emmy stuff (YAY LOST! I knew they were going to win and I still jumped up and squeed when they did - and loads of shots of Naveen b/c there was a camera right there all night!) so I'm not updating properly. I want to say that there are NOT NEARLY enough pictures of Naveen, considering he was NOMINATED. I've got about 11 of him by himself/with Barbara. Am offering my firstborn to anyone who can provide me with decent images. Meanwhile, there's about a million of Foxy and Maggie. I'll post them at some point.

And I love Ellen DeGeneres so very much. Oh and Alan Alda too - him tearing up his speech, loved it. I didn't know he was nominated - and, quite frankly, I'm PISSED that William Shatner won for essentially playing himself while Alan, Terry and Naveen, all three excellent actors, were passed over. And, in a shock move, when Lost won the Emmy Dom...hugged Foxy. There's a pattern developing there. They were all so happy and good-looking and I love our cast and writers. Seriously. OMG [livejournal.com profile] chaodai looked SO GOOD in his suit!

Go join [livejournal.com profile] lost_awards and NOMINATE. If you are already a member of [livejournal.com profile] lost_awards, NOMINATE. Seriously. There are only THREE NOMINATIONS at [livejournal.com profile] lost_awards this week!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY [livejournal.com profile] patsie!!

[livejournal.com profile] peter_and_fran has updated.

ETA: Oh, right, sorry. Forgot. Aye, avast. Arr, me hearties. And really bad eggs.

I have to restart Butler now because he's being a cunt.

haha I started cracking up when I saw Dom hug Foxy!

From: [identity profile] nentari.livejournal.com

Dom's actually going to have my child. We're very excited, very proud. We're going to name it Frodo. He wanted it to be called Mary, but I thought since it was my sperm I get to choose.
*dies laughing* Oh, the fics that could come from this...

My favourite moment in the Emmys was when William Shatner won for best supporting actor in a drama series and Alan Alda tore his speech in two with a very annoyed (and very Hawkeye-like) expression.

From: [identity profile] nentari.livejournal.com

M*A*S*H is finally being broadcast over here (in a channel for classic comedies) so I'm slowly becoming an Alan Alda worshipper.
(Radar is my favourite character, though)

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

MASH is one of my favourite shows of all time and to my mind one of the greatest shows of all time. My favourite character was Radar when I was younger, but as an adult I love Hawkeye. I also love BJ Honnicutt a lot more than Trapper John MacIntyre, and I think Klinger is awesome.

Alan Alda is a hero of mine. I still find him attractive just because I'm a little in love with him.

From: [identity profile] nentari.livejournal.com

So far I've only seen one episode with Klinger (like I said, I'm still a MASH newbie), but I like what I've seen of him so far.
And yeah - Alan Alda is indeed a very attractive man :)

I liked the comment about Dom, but also, the Flipper comment was tres amusing. And wtf was he talking about when they asked if he liked Celine Dion and he was like "No. Liza'a fucking punk." I was like, scratching my head. Dun get it.

Er, also. The hugging Foxy? What is this pattern of which you speak? Is there a history of Dom/Foxy displays of affection at public events? If so, I am out of the loop.

Dom hugged Foxy?!?!?! awww. I couldn't watch cause I had to work. Fucking ew. Anyways... yeah that past was just a LITTLE melodramatic.
I was wondering what exactly your job is. The whole really busy with Emmy stuff and things I've read in other posts, I was just wondering.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

He did. Up in the top left corner. I'm pathetic, my eyes searched out Dom as soon as they pulled out for a wide shot.
You can see it here a little (http://www.lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=710&pos=70).

Melodramatic, right?

Um. My job has *nothing* to do with Emmy stuff. I do autism therapy with a five year old.

From: (Anonymous)

aww how cute.

oh wow i was WAY off in my head. for some reason i kept thinking you were a photographer or reporter or something.

From: [identity profile] truffle-shuffle.livejournal.com

I somehow missed Dom hugging Foxy. Hopefully there will be pictures? I also missed the beginning of the show so I missed the Best Supporting Actor in a Drama category. But, apparently, I didn't miss much since Shatner won. I'll never understand the Academy's love for him and that show. It's not that good a show. And the characters aren't that interesting. It's never held my interest, anyway.

I'd comment on the Lupin thing, but it's just one of those things where I realize that there's a lot of fans out there that don't read as much about HP as I do. Or didn't learn that there were latin names for all species in science class. Or they could all just be slightly dumb little girls. I don't know.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

You can see Dom hugging Foxy (our right) here (http://www.lost-media.com/modules.php?name=coppermine&file=displayimage&album=710&pos=70).
Yeah, Shatner won, but Naveen was all smiley and really, really cute all night. He just looked happy. There was a camera near him so he was on screen a lot. I'm annoyed that Shatner won for...playing himself. Up against Alan frickin' Alda, Terry O'Quinn and Naveen. Augh.
I do love James Spader though.

It's not just the fact that she didn't know, but that once she found out she had to post about it wondering if maybe that was where it came from.

From: [identity profile] truffle-shuffle.livejournal.com

Thanks. When they won, I was just looking to see who from the cast was there. It looked like everyone.

Shatner shouldn't have won. He won last year, and I thought it was a fluke. Apparently not. I think that Terry should have won. He's just so fantastic.

Maybe that girl falls into the "slightly dumb" category I mentioned. She probably thought she was really smart, and had come upon something that no one else would have ever thought of.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Yunjin and Malcolm were the only ones missing aside from new/old cast.

Yeah, I would have liked for Terry to win. Much more than Naveen losing to bloody Shatner.

*cries* it's 4:30 am. Why am I AWAKE?!

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Oh, and the reason Buffy wasn't on my top characters list (and where did that comment go?)
I hated Buffy. I never, ever liked her as a character.

From: [identity profile] truffle-shuffle.livejournal.com

I guess I think that's weird. I don't think I could watch a show where I don't like the central character. But that's just me. Obviously there was a lot besides the Buffy character that was great about the show. But I feel the same way about Harry Potter. I just don't get the people who absolutely hate Harry. The books are about him. If they hate him so much, why are they reading?

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Yeah, I know. I get it with Harry, because the books are told from his perspective, and I just like him. I just never liked Sarah Michelle Gellar, she bothers me.

From: [identity profile] truffle-shuffle.livejournal.com

Oh, I like Sarah. Well, I like her as Buffy. And in Cruel Intentions. But as a person, I've decided that I don't ever want to meet her because I've heard some things, and it seems that she might just be a bitch.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Being a freak again, she honestly has the weirdest mouth. I started moving my mouth like hers after Buffy marathons because she has this very strange way about it.

Erm. Anyway. Yeah, hate her.

From: [identity profile] truffle-shuffle.livejournal.com

It's like her mouth is slightly tilted or something. I know what you mean. But I never disliked her. I don't know. I've come across a lot of fans of the show that hate her, and I guess I never really understood it. I never hated her character, though there were times when I felt she was being self-righteous. But then, Xander had his moments of that, and I know there are a lot of people who hate him too, but I never did.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Yes! And it's like she...pulls it back or something. Weird.

Fair enough, everybody has different opinions.

From: [identity profile] flamingo-killer.livejournal.com

Argh I hope you feel better!

Big yes on the melodramatic question. Haha.

LOL at Elijah. Saw that in my webclips.

Agree with stupid HP fans.

YAY LOST. Didn't watch the Emmys, but quite happy with that =)

Have you seen this (http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/ap/20050919/ap_en_tv/tv_lost_returns)?

From: [identity profile] bitterfreedom.livejournal.com

Melodramatic or no? You decide.

Umm, I decide Yes. What a spastic. She's totally cracked the sads for no apparent reason, jebus its just a reality show. Yes Laura should have gone but Natalie wasnt that great either.

Seriously though she's a spaz, I had to go see if she was as melodramatic in her lj but unfortunatly its friends only, so I checked out her user info and no joke she lists 'fuck buddies, being spoilt and humanitarian issues' along with a lot of other shit that made me laugh at her...

I think Im too mean for my own good.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

I didn't even think of that, I just thought it was a melodramatic post. And said so, because I'm not one to keep my opinions to myself ;)

From: [identity profile] dom-jillo.livejournal.com

Hey,
WOW I loved the Emmy's I'm so glad they won! I hope you feel better soon!

Love

Melodramatic or no? You decide.

FUCK. I read that, and it made me twitch. I have no patience for people like that. "OMG BIG DRAMATIC FIT" then later, "No, look at me pretend to be mature now and completely make like my own whiny, histrionic, POORLY SPELLED words are not right up at the top of the page."

*slap*

No patience. I sympathise.
