I tried to go back to before I went away on my Flist, but I couldn't go further back than skip=980.
So you'll forgive me for not checking out your entries. I'm also buggered. Let me know if there was anything exciting that I missed :)
Saturday morning I woke up early for work, then raced home, updated![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
_whedonicontest instead of eating lunch, and raced off to catch my bus :S spent three hours and 15 minutes on the bus, caught a train to malsirien's and then wen to a concert with her and her mum. Some local 'talent', Mad Caddies (I will upload soon, but com's fucking up and it's late) and some modern swing band. Very fun stuff. Went to bed later than I should've.
Sunday I realised that even though I was clever and brought a smaller bag as well as my big one with all the clothes and such, I was going torosemending's that night and so would have to lug around all my clothes and such ALL DAY. Shoulder hurts. We left late, missed the train, arrived at Circular Quay to meet rosemending and malsirien's friend VERY late, started walking to Wharf 8 which turned out to be in the middle of nowhere and something like 45 minutes' walk from Circular Quay. *dies* We went to the expo and it was fantastic and we saw natatree, but I didn't get to meet Richard Taylor or get his autograph, and he was the whole reason I was there in the first place :( still I shook his hand and listened to the presentation on Narnia - it looks GREAT, the armour is sort of similar to in LotR, and he talked about the challenges of making the creatures, particularly the centaur. He told a story about Stuart Townsend wanting the biggest sword when he was cast as Aragorn and the sword getting stuck in the hilt. VERY FUNNY.
I also saw Matthew Lewis (Neville from HP), a very nice young man. Yes, I am 80. I felt weird getting his autograph. He's 16! He was very considerate and thoughtful in his answers and has AWFUL teeth. One guy said "Was there any romance on set between anyone, Dan and Emma, or Rupert and Emma...or Dan and Rupert..." and Matthew cracked up for so long he could hardly answer the question. His mum was in the audience.
Jay Laga'aia was there and he was HOT. He was there b/c of playing Captain Typho from Star Wars, but he also sang the extended Playschool theme (who knew it had 2 more verses?) and the Weird Al song about Episode 1. Very dirty bloke, but funny, and sexy.
I got John Rhys-Davies's autographa again and he was, as always, either painfully boring or utterly fascinating in his Q&A. I really, really like him. He asked me what I did and I said film. He asked what I wanted to do with that and I said I didn't know, which was why uni was working out so well for me. He laughed :)
I bought the LotR Trivial Pursuit (DVD Edition) and $3.50 figurines of Smeagol and Boromir, so that was cool, and I bought an original sketch by Michael Turner fortuatha_de. Then we went back to rosemending's (lots of walking, woe) and had Chinese and watched Idol and played my game and talked a bit, which was good.

I watched Queer as Folk tonight. I want to kill Michael. I stood up for him for so long, but now I want to kill him. Although it was worth watching tonight just for the scene of Brian at Michael & Ben's dinner party. CRACKED ME UP. "You said you were decorating a playroom" LMAO. I am sad that James left Idol because there will be no more James/James love, and because when not performing he's so sweet and so much fun, and because of the boytouching. As much as I love the hosts, why were we watching them when the other Idols ran on stage to hug James? Def. not fair.

Oh yeah...and I'm going to Disney World tomorrow. I'm really hoping they have some kind of LOST merchandise there as Disney funds the show. I never realized what a shop-a-holic I was until I started planning for this trip.
