TOUCHDOWN!!! FOR MY IDOL BOY!
Lee (My Sharona) - well he picked the right song, wore the right clothes and did the right job. I thought he was great - not the best he's done nor the best of the night, but still really good. I like his interaction with band and audience.
Kate (Lady Marmalade) - nobody should sing Lady Marmalade on this show, it's just not a good idea. She obviously did the Moulin Rouge version but fucked up the words and timing of improvs. *I* could tell she was sick myself - I could tell when Cosima was sick too and nobody listened to me then. I think in spite of bad song choice and sickness Kate did a pretty good job. Except the poodle on her head.
JAMES NEEDS A MAN!!! OMGWTF funniest thing *ever*, James and G are my most favourite hosts.
Daniel (Cold As Ice) - once again I really, really liked it, he looked mighty pissed off to me. Also I like the jacket and shirt with the jeans and the clean-shaven look. Very nice work, but not my favourite for the evening - is it enough to save him from being booted?
Emily (I'm Every Woman) - okay, I really liked most of this. There are still some things about Emily's voice that bother me but I'm starting to think it might be another Missy Higgins deal (not that they're similar, just that I'm the only one who seems to have issues with their voices.) I was thinking this might be a dodgy song choice but she did a really nice job, I think. More touchdown-worthy than River Deep, Mountain High.
Dan (Desperado) - I was totally and utterly glued to the screen drooling through the whole performance, I thought it was fantastic and I LOVE his voice. He really has worked on that storytelling thing. The most amazing ballad, I swear.
