THERE ARE THREE COMMUNITIES.
In Sims 2, that is. One has MPREG and ALIEN BABIES. If you don't see me for a while, you know where I'll be.
HAPPY BELATED TOM, because I forgot to last night. It was
tuatha_de's birthday today and we went to lunch with Nina and a couple of friends of ours. It was really good. Then I came home to play and then Mum had a shoe party. Yes, that's right, a shoe party. Not quite as funny as the cosmetics party, but still. What's next? Tupperware? I love it.
Serenity on DVD? That was...quick.
Quidditch World Cup scene. I like the facepaint. Yay Ginny!
Here's a disturbingly revealing meme from
dudepower1982:
1. What was the first car your family had?
I know my parents had a Peugeot thingie once.
2. What was the name of your first pet and why?
The first I can remember was a goldfish called Frank.
3. What did you want to be when you grew up?
A writer. Until I was 13.
4. What was the name of your elementary school?
I went to Nishimachi kindergarten, Red Hill Primary School and Seoul British School, then back to Red Hill for the end.
5. Who was your first best friend?
2-5: Shelly (saw her mum tonight)
Then I had a succession of best friends - Clare, Katherine, Mette, Ines, Travis & Alexander, Karina, Caitlin.
6. Are you still friends today, and if not, what happened?
I have talked to Shelly a couple of times on the phone. We moved apart when I was 5 and then all the postings came up and we didn't live in the same city again until 3 years ago. I don't even know what country most of the others live in now.
7. What was your favorite board game?
Same as now - Boggle.
8. Did you play house or other make believe games?
Of course. "Let's Pretend" is probably the most common game girls play.
"Let's pretend that I'm a dog, and let's pretend you can speak dog, but let's pretend you forgot how..."
9. Were you a Dungeons and Dragons geek?
No.
10. Did you sleep with stuffed animals as a kid?
Yep.
11. Do you still sleep with stuffed animals?
Yep.
12. Who was the first person you looked up to when you were younger?
Linda was absolutely my hero. She's about 6 years older than me and she gave me my first tape of cool music.
13. Who was your favorite relative?
I used to think my uncle John was hilarious, and I got along very well with my cousin Nic until he lost any semblance of normal human interaction. And my cousin Tim, who I'm still friends with.
14. Were you short or tall in elementary school?
Short/average.
15. Were you teased in school?
I was teased a lot in high school, but I got on fine in primary school, probably because I went to co-ed primary schools.
16. What was the name of your favorite teacher?
Primary school - Mrs Jones-Davies, Mr. Tucker
High school - Mme. Fabre
17. What was the name of your least favorite teacher?
Mrs. Scroope. Absolute bitch of a woman who hated me the moment I stepped into her class. It was the only year I ever got a B in English - I'm sure she would've failed me if she could find any more fault with my work than "you should write 'novel' not 'book'." The day after the two week period in which you could change teachers she gave me a 3-hour detention - the second of my life - in which she basically told me she thought I was no good. She made a couple of my friends cry in that class for no good reason, which caused me to treat her with utter contempt. She actualy picked on ESL students.
18. What was your best subject in school?
English.
19. What was your worst subject in school?
I hated Maths and was genuinely terrible at Physics, but I have to say Home Ec. takes the cake. In three years of it, I managed to:
-get put on cooking up only duty by two different teachers in two different countries
-melt a saucepan
-be banned from using fire in the cooking classroom
-sew my thumb to the material I was working with
-ask my mother to sew a backpack (a fucking BACKPACK, in YEAR 8) for me because it was three weeks late already
-ruin three different skirts
-make my (nun) teacher so exasperated she told me when to put my foot on the pedal while she moved the material around
20. Did you do well in Physical Education?
I did great atsex ed health! I actually always managed to just pass in PE because I'm flexible and persistent.
21. Were you clumsy when you were younger?
To a certain degree, and I still am.
22. Who was your favorite band as a kid?
Bon Jovi!
23. What was your favorite movie as a kid?
Singin' in the Rain. Oh, how things haven't changed all that much.
24. Did your parents read to you?
Yes, when I was *really* little, but I read by myself from about 4.
25. Did you have a favorite book?
Early ones included Tiki Tiki Tembo and that...book I can never remember the name of with the big green drippy hand. A lot of Japanese stories (written in English, of course.)
As I got older I read EVERYTHING. I loved all the mysteries (Secret Seven & Famous Five, Trixie Belden, Nancy Drew, these ones that had forewords written by Alfred Hitchcock) and Goosebumps, Teen Power Inc., Babysitter's Club, a whole bunch of series.
26. What was your favorite restaurant as a kid?
Wendy's in Japan.
27. What TV or movie star did you have a crush on?28. Do you now wonder what you were thinking?
Come on, aren't you starting to see a slight pattern here?
29. Who was your first crush in school?
I had my first crush at the ripe old age of 4. Daniel Langridge.
30. As a child, what kind of car did you want when you grew up?
A green car.
31. Did your parents spank you?
Yes.
32. Did your parents fight a lot when you were a kid?
My mother doesn't fight. She guilt-trips, gets pissy, yells "I don't want to fight! I'm saying it's finished now!" and walks off. Sometimes she cries. And then I wondered where my sister gets it. So, no. I fought with my father enough for both of them though.
33. Did your parents get divorced or stay married?
They're still married.
34. If they got divorced, how old were you when it happened?
See above.
35. Did you ever run away from home?
I ran away to my friend's house up the street once. Once our parents thought we'd run away but we'd just taken her dogs to another friend's house who lived half an hour away, then lost track of time and walked home in the dark.
36. How old were you when/if you first got glasses?
I was 9 and my eyes are still getting worse. I'm -8 and -6 now.
37. Did you need braces or a retainer?
Both. I had absolutely everything. Retainers, separators, braces, bands, headgear, teeth removed, nerves cut, fissures filled (these aren't fillings - the braces actually pulled one of my teeth apart so a crack appeared and they had to fill it.) I had some sort of orthodontic appliance for 6 years straight. This smile came at a cost.
38. If you're male, how old were you when you had your first wet dream?
Never had one, obviously, since I'm not male.
39. Both sexes when did you start shaving?
I think I was about 15. I didn't even think about it before then.
I knew people plucked their eyebrows but I never even thought about it by the time my sister plucked half her eyebrow off. She was 9. I was 16. I don't think I'd ever NOTICED my eyebrows before that.
40. Girls when did you start wearing a bra?
11 for one of those sports bra things, 13 for a proper one.
41. What was your first kiss like?
I was drunk and I kissed a jerk while playing Spin the Bottle. In spite of that it wasn't bad. Second one was infinitely better and the best kiss I've had to date - in the same game of Spin the Bottle. I have considered asking that guy out just so I could make out with him.
I was 18.
42. What did you do on your first date?
I saw King Arthur. It was awful.
43. How old were you when you first drank?
A tiny bit of champagne at about 12. I started drinking a whole glass on special occasions at around 15.
44. Where was your first house?
Oddly, around the corner from where I live now.

because I've been dealing with so many sim kids I am currently overwhelmed by cute.
It's been lovely but I have to scream now

Mmmm... that sounds worryingly like my arguing style. I don't think I guilt trip though.
