Seriously, the trailers for Brokeback Mountain could just be a blank screen saying "Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger as hot gay cowboys" and people (including me) would go see it because....hot gay cowboys. Being hot. Together. And this Jared Wilson guy thinks that's going to keep people away from the movie? What is he, new?

BULLLLSHIITTT these are amazing. I especially love 9 and 10. They all have fantastic cropping, especially 7/8. (Speaking of 7/8, is the border a brush? . 11 and 12 are also super good too--I love the way you used that texturey thing. Yes.
Uhm, basically, I wish I could make icons as good as those that you make. Yay!

I noticed that brush being used a lot but couldn't figure out who had made it or where to get it, so I copy/pasted an icon I saw using it into Photoshop and then (so as not to cheat completely) I opened a new file and fiddled around with the effects until I got a brush that looked almost the same. For that particular one I made a couple of lines and used different brushes as erasers until I got a nice frame sort of effect, then I rotated the image around and used it three more times.
That texturey thing was made by taking a base and then using the eraser tool with a sort of feathery brush and erasing most of the base, then sticking a brown colour layer over the top so it became monochromatic.
