E-Mail #2:

Please forward to Naveen Andrews.

Hello Naveen,

I am one of the managing partners of IndyMuse, LLC, a production company based on in Los Angeles.

In the Spring of 2001 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, an Arab-American high tech entrepreneur defended his company from a group of rogue employees. This attempted hostile takeover hit headlines from Chicago to Detroit and ultimately led to a legal case in Michigan. The entrepreneur persevered and now we are telling this story.

The first step is the production of our short, Hostile. The shooting dates are February 10th and 11th. We have assembled a strong cast and crew.

We would like to invite you to play the lead role of Marat in the 10 minute short. Plans are already in progress to enter the short into various film festivals including Sundance and Slamdance. However, the primary purpose of this short is to raise the financing for the feature planned for Spring 2007.

Please review the attached summary document and let us know if you would like to discuss the shoot further.

Thank you,

Jacques Habra

I have a disclaimer. It's right there on the front page. Granted, you may have to *gasp* scroll for a second and *doublegasp* actually read the whole page, but it's there, I assure you. Augh!

I couldn't possibly vote for one of those icons--they're all so pretty! (I do prefer the kind where I can read the text, but that's my only quibble!)

YOU SHOULD HAVE TICKEY BOXES SO I COULD PICK MORE THAN ONE STYLE:D

OMG CAPSLOCK IS NOT YOUR FRIEND WTF.

lol I did it like that on purpose, I wanted to gauge which one works best *nods*

LOL! That always works when you want to emphasise certain words. Because otherwise I'm like *ducks* don't yell at me!!

hehehe :D Usually I'm guilty of not capitalizing *enough* ;)

You're a better person than I... I would be so tempted to mindfuck the stupid people who can't comprehend the idea of fanpages.

And then I would be sued, and the whole thing would just be bad.

LOL! "So, I've spoken to Naveen and he's TOTALLY interested in being in your short film! Just send the money in cash to Canberra, Australia..." I could use it to fund the site ;)

People can be stupid...
Maybe you should make your disclaimer bigger for all the stupid people?

Also, if you google "Naveen Andrews", yours is the 2nd site shown (http://www.google.com.au/searchhl=en&q=Naveen+Andrews&meta=) & 1 of only 2 pages in the first 10 (it's hot & I couldn't bother looking any further) that even sound/look remotely like they could be an official site... the other page states clearly in the title that it's only a forum, so they'd wipe that one out & pick yours.

Granted, your disclaimer still shows on the google search...

It's so very *obviously* a fan site though. I mean, I say it's unofficial in the very first paragraph. There is nothing whatsoever to indicate that I am in any way even remotely connected to Naveen.

Sorry, can't help it, but... *gasp* paragraph? You want people to read??? No wonder they all believe this is the officail site!

From: [identity profile] da-shpoon.livejournal.com

Very true, but keep in mind that to really stupid people, anything that looks good bust be the official site.

Hehee... I'm thinking you should set up a fake Naveen Andrews email address & reply to them pretending to be him! XD
At the very least you'd get a laugh out of it...

Alternatively create a section on the site for stupid emails, stick them there & comment on them... people will soon get the message...

You know, it might be more accurate for "style" if they all featured Maggie. You know how magnetic she is! :D

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

LOL I've noticed that it's two Maggie ones that are winning the race...but there's two more that aren't doing very well, too *g*

I do NOT understand why people don't seem to grasp the concept of FANSITE. It isn't as if they were a rarity. Most sites dedicated to an actor are made by unconnected fans. Official sites are, by far, the rarer.

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

Ugh, I know. And it's not like there's anything on my site to even suggest that I might know Naveen at *all*.
