1. Thank the person that tagged you.
2. List 5 random/strange/weird things about you.
3. Tag 5 other people

[livejournal.com profile] truffle_shuffle, you cannot possibly understand the sheer joy doing this meme has brought to my heart. Thankyou, a thousand times thankyou.

1. I hate underlit bathrooms, even though I don't really look in the mirror much or anything. I mean, they're so damp and dank already, underlit bathrooms just feel like you're in a cave. Or a cell.

2. I notice people's mouths before anything else. I can recognise people by their mouths, but if they have fake teeth or something that adjustment takes me longer to get used to than a full facial prosthetic. I also have an oral fixation, which is more likely than not related.

3. I think in words, which I believe is less common than thinking in pictures. It means I have a lot of trouble envisioning things.

4. I'm allergic to make-up. I pretty much never wear it. Once I wore eyeliner and my eyes still hurt even though I was painfully careful taking it off. I've tried all sorts of hyperallergenic make-up but none of it works. I can wear lipstick, but it looks kinda weird without the rest of it.

5. I laugh at things in movies that nobody else seems to find funny. I laughed all through the PLanet of the Apes remake. I find things funny suddenly and burst into laughter. Loudly. Clare is picking on me.

Clare says I have no fashion sense, but that doesn't seem particularly uncommon. I shouldn't have asked her, she's just picking out annoying things about me.

I tag [livejournal.com profile] crumpeteer, [livejournal.com profile] sassygirl, [livejournal.com profile] natatree, [livejournal.com profile] naughtyevil (or as Clare is saying LUUKE! LUUUKE! LUUUUKE!!) and [livejournal.com profile] slashingthefox.

Erm, will update more fully in due time.

I think in words too, but I can visualise. I construct the image out of words, the shape and colour and texture of them. I suppose that comes with being synaesthetic, now I think of it.

Huh, I just realised something. I don't think I'm synaesthetic ([livejournal.com profile] tuatha_de is, though, if you ever want to talk to somebody about it) but I associate people with colours.

I do that, too. And words have textures and colors; for example, "melancholy" is a soft purple-blue and "rough" has a brick-like feel to it. It's probably why I have such issues with picking exactly the right word when I'm writing.

I switch between thinking in words and thinking in images. I'd say it's about half-and-half for me.

I do this, too.
I laughted at Bourne Supremacy.
