Yes, much more reliable. There's a gossip writer called Ted Casablanca who's been talking about a guy called Toothy Tile for probably over a year now - a hot young actor who's dating a woman but secretly gay, and all about his boyfriend. At this time about the only person who fits the bill is Jake.

The Dom/Elijah rumours were made up by tinhats.

At the link is a run down of all the Toothy Tile stuff.
Pay special attention to the first item she has on there that Ted included a week before the T.T. stuff started happening. In the 3/10 T.T. blind item he says the marble table is a hint and in the 3/5 Jake item, the cafe they're at has marble tables.

Check out the 5/27 T.T. item. Talks about a sensual, boyish splash movie coming out around the same time as a supposed magazine article where T.T. will come out as bi. It's around August on when Ted is becoming increasingly frustrated because good 'ol T.T. isn't coming out like promised. Well right around November/December when Brokeback was really starting up (sensual, boyish splash?), the Details magazine came out where we get a quote from Jake saying he's flattered by the bisexual rumors and has never been attracted to guys but wouldn't be afraid of it if it happened. Not exactly coming out in a magazine with the movie opening like Ted had banked on but perhaps trying to test the waters?

Lastly, check out the 11/15 T.T. item about him making out with his boyfriend before going out on a talk show to promote his movie "Casablanca Cuckhold" as Ted nicknamed it. What was Jake's talk show schedule like for Brokeback and Jarhead? He was on Conan on 11/3, Live w/Regis and Kelly and Good Morning America on 11/4, the Early Show 11/8, and Ellen on 11/10.
