And he had such a sweet acceptance speech, too. Anyone know where I can get a download? OMG I'm so thrilled, this is fantastic!! I wonder if this increases his chances of getting the Oscar at all? Wouldn't that be the best thing EVER? I'm a little excited.

ETA: it's up at YouTube. He came so close to kissing Heath.... And there's a random cut to Rupert Grint. And Heath looks happy. XD

I bounced around the room at this! he was so shocked to have won. felt a bit sorry for Heath though, that was a slap in the face for him.

the guy who did win best actor - never heard of that movie - and was it deliberately filmed in that annoying out of focus way?

The guy who won is Philip Seymour Hoffman, for Capote. He's going to win the Oscar - he's already won the Golden Globe and the SAG for the role. This year's Best Actor bunch are really exceedingly strong.

PSH is an excellent and very consistent actor, but the voice he does for Capote freaks me right out.

If BBM doesn't win the Oscar it'll be a total travesty.

Yay Jake! That's fantastic. Sadly, I don't know that it increases his chances of an Oscar or not, at least based on last year when Clive Owen won the Golden Globe and the BAFTA but not the Oscar.

Loved his speech. It was so much fun to watch him win and speak because he was so breathless and giddy. He looked genuinly shocked. I feel bad for Heath (and poor guy got to do a speech for Larry and Diana who won but weren't there and the American version cut that award...haven't seen the download for it yet though). But Heath did look very happy, proud, and loving towards Jake's win. Have you seen the pics of them yet? I have some in my LJ along with this one:
