In other news, I have watched all of season 1 of Babylon 5. Thus far it reminds me more of, say, a melodramatic Red Dwarf more than the genius of Firefly (not that Red Dwarf isn't genius, more that it's comedy), but I have a feeling that may be due to the idiocy of casting that lead actor. WTF WERE THEY THINKING. The quality drops exponentially the more screen time he has. I might have a slight older man crush on Garibaldi, though, and I think I read something about Ivanova and Talia being lesbians, which promises some fun for the future. I look forward to the next season free of that wooden moron. With more G'Kar and Londo, because they are made of awesome. And Danielle Delenn! OMG.

You should watch Battlestar Galactica. Season One is available for rent...hopefully in Australia too...and it's really phenominal. I didn't want to like it, but I have been slayed by its brilliance. I think you'd like it a lot too.

Hm. Interesting. I don't really understand why people would be up in arms over a comment like that. I quite agree with her. Then again, I'm also a fat girl (well, not according to some, but they're delusional. definitely according to almost everyone i've ever been in a class with, even when I wasn't). I think it's good for her to use her tremendous pull to get kids to stop worrying about stuff like that which has the ability to damage people. While keeping healthy is important, so is feelin good about yourself. Go JKR.

Yep, the first year is a bit of a letdown, because the main character is so wooden. And then... he's GONE! Keep in mind that completely getting rid of a MAIN CHARACTER was almost unheard of then. And made a lot of people think JMS had lost his mind. And, yet... there IS a reason for it. *G* That's part of his genius. It was actually done for a reason, and you'll eventually find out why! *S* Have faith.

And enjoy Billy Mumy. Did you know that he was the little boy in Lost in Space? And a cool guy. And, yes... I developed a crush on Garibaldi, which amazed me!
