Meanwhile, what is up with Australian movies and ABBA? Two of the best Australian films of the 90's are about ABBA obsessors. Also, Priscilla is practically a musical. Think I could use that reasoning to include it in my essay on how modern musicals are into subverting gender stereotypes?

I'm so making Priscilla icons...I think.

Love that movie. I think it funny you mention To Wong Foo, since Wong Foo was based on this one. I actually like both but hey...I never turn down a drag movie. Don't ask me why, they make up a ridiculous percentage of my films. You needed to know that right?

I love gay-themed movies AND musicals, and this is (kinda) both :D

You know, just before the first Matrix film came out, the cast producers made an appearance at a local comic book convention. Most people were asking questions to Keanu, to the Wachowski brothers, and to Joel Silver. I got up and decided to direct a question at the people the audience was leaving out. I directed a question at Hugo and said "so what's it like to go from Singing transvestite in the Outback to a Secret Agent type who can fly? All of a sudden, people in the audience realized who Hugo was. Sheesh, sometimes people just don't pay attention.
