A snake. On a plane. No, really.

I saw Galaxy Quest
I love this movie SO MUCH, because in my view it is essentially one big celebration of fandom. The beginning sets it up perfectly - the people who laugh at the show, the 'disbelievers' vs. the fans and the disillusioned crew - then it follows the crew and the alien 'fans' through a journey of self-discovery that basically just says illusion is fun and gives us hope and something to care about and fans are awesome, if kinda geeky. Yay us!
Of course, I've probably delved too deeply in what is essentially a very entertaining comedy/Star Trek spoof. Any other readings anyone would care to share with the class?
Plus, OMG ALIEN KEITH MARS FTW.
I also watched Bride & Prejudice again. I love Naveen in this movie SO MUCH. Absolutely nothing deep going on here, just beaufitul Indian people singing and dancing and having fun.
Question: Do I bother watching Murd3r By Numbers just for this?
truffle_shuffle did a more comprehensive post here, so I didn't forget Jake or Robert Pattinson or Sean Maher, they're just over there.

...well, I like it. It's wonky with small (now fixed!) teeth but it's so expressive. *g* His smile is my favourite, but Jake's is a VERY close second. Of course, nobody beats Dom ever in my books.

Shia LeBouef

Gael Garcia Bernal

Gale Harold

Adam Brody

(
indilime is gonna kill me for not having a kissy pic) WEEEEEEEVIL

Seth Green, who has the most unique and adorable smile

Aaron Stanford

Michael Pitt, with lips that are probably outlawed in Texas

Terrence Howard

Ryan Phillippe

James Dean

My favourite of the pics posted by

Murder By Numbers is definitely worth watching especially if you like Ryan Gosling too!

I'm really only interested in Michael Pitt. I cast him in this story I wrote ages ago and now I'm kind of attached to him.

I'll forgive you on the Weevil pic this time, because OMG the way he eyes Veronica in that scene kills me ded every time.
Also I effing LOVE Galaxy Quest. I really have no idea why I still don't own it, but I need it. Desperately. I love your interpretation of it. I never really thought of it that way before.

That and the lines are SO FUNNY.
'I guess you're just going to have to figure it out. What's its motivation?'
'It's a rock monster, it doesn't HAVE any motivation!'
'This is your problem, Jason, you were never serious about the craft!'
'I'M NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO HAVE A LAST NAME!'
'That was a hell of a thing. What's wrong with them?'

My crush/boss shares all of my fandoms as well and we've been discussing your very interpretation of the movie over the past week. It came up when we were doing Inventory (cuz I work at a video store) and he was like, "This movie wins."
By Grapthar's hammer...I think I'm gonna go watch it now! lol.
This movie was also where I realized that I love Alan Rickman...when he snaps and goes all berzerk on the aliens. LOVE IT! Snape, despite the HP storyline...is still one of my favorites. lmao...what a change of character between Galaxy Quest and HP.

Young Sirius is yay.
Galaxy Quest is some awesomeness. I love that Alan Rickman is an alien, Dr. Lazerus, and that just makes me squee like the little fangirl that I am.

Tony Shaloub cemented my love for him forever with that movie.
"Could they be the miners?"
"Sure, they're like three years old."
"MINERS, not MINORS."
"You lost me."
