Top 10 Reasons Not To Hate Chad Michael Murray {also known as 'Mayhem', also known as 'That Total Douchebag', also known as 'What are you THINKING, girl, go wash yourself!'}

The Supernatural episode aired tonight was Salvation, the episode with the name that probably annoys me the most of any this season. I mean, Supernatural isn't exactly creative about the episode names, but that's just dumb.

Anyway, OMG GEARING UP FOR FINALE SO MUCH FUN. Also, our promo showed the LAST SHOTS of the finale right at the beginning. I was like WTF? On to the actual episode...eh. Some interesting character developments. I'm particularly interested in John's rationale that he's doing this so that the boys can have normal lives afterwards. He and Sam really are terribly alike, only John wants 'normal' for the boys, not for himself. I also thought his rather clunkily written farewell speech was revealing - the way, even when he's sending them off to kill the demon, he calls them 'you boys.'
The scene where Sam picked Dean up by the lapels and walked him over so he could shove him against the wall (recalling, of course, the scene in the pilot, which Dean even mentions in the dialogue in another case of Supernatural's insistence upon hitting its audience over the head with the RELEVANCE of things) was also amazing. Jensen Ackles' acting talent actually manages to eclipse some of his other...er, talents...in this show, which is impressive. He's so open and raw, his voice is so broken. Tears sprang to my eyes. If there's one thing this show excels at it's that kind of thing. The other scene I loved was the one in the car when Sam gives his farewell speech and Dean's all 'Shut the fuck up! What's wrong with you?!' not knowing Sam fully intends to die.
