I've been listening to Guy a lot since my random first season Idol nostalgia, so I figured I'd do a post about him. He was the winner of the first Australian Idol and I still think he's leagues ahead of pretty much everyone else who's ever been on that show.

I Wish - live at the third season finale, when he managed to blow every Idol from that season out of the water with his outside performance before the concert even properly started.
Climb Every Mountain - probably his most famous Idol performance.
When Doves Cry - I wish I had the live performance of this from Idol, but this album version is the best I can do. I still love his cover of it though.
Oh Oh - this is the sort of thing he's been releasing since Idol.

I'm a big fan of Guy Sebastian after seeing him on World Idol. I got interested in him. I saw clips of him on YouTube and he cut his hair. It's like really short. He no longer has the fro. I think the only one that has come close to Guy's stature is Anthony Callea. Though I'm not really fond of Anthony. I also loved it when he performed Crazy In Love.

From his sophomore cd, my fave has to be Kryptonite.

I was sad that he did so poorly at World Idol, but I don't think most people really get him in just one performance. People have to get used to him.
Yeah, he's been on this It Take Two thing with his short hair. I miss the fro but I always liked his voice best anyway :)

Ugh, I don't like Anthony Callea. He strikes me as a jerk and he just keeps singing the same songs over and over to try to get back what he had with The Prayer.

He performed Kryptonite on I think the second season of Idol and again proved just how much more class he has than the other Idol contestants.

World Idol was freaking rigged I tell you. Out of the performances during World Idol, the only ones I liked was Guy's, Kelly Clarkson and Will Young's performance. Other than that, the rest just didn't cut it for me. I don't think so Kurt should have won the title.

Actually I started hating Anthony Callea after Idol, his cd was just blah. I couldn't stand it. I think the only time I liked him was when he sang The Prayer that was when I started to like him after that I just couldn't stand him. He had this fake aura going on him. That smile he had was ahhh!!!
