I stayed home sick today.
My throat is swallowing-nails sore, my head feels like it's going to explode and on top of that I seem to have some sort of tummy bug. Also, I am sad because
truffle_shuffle is away and I miss her.
I got to chat with
flamingo_killer and play the Sims some, though, which was fun. It was also a good day for fandom. I read that fantastic post about Booster Blowout, watched the Veronica Mars blooper reel, watched the 'Law & Order: Special Letters Unit' Sesame Street segment that's been floating around, watched the two House YouTube vids linked below. Now I'm going to watch the other extras from the VMars Season 2 dvds. Huzzah!
ETA: Yet another awesome Booster Blowout report.
Joss Whedon poll. Titan A.E is so underrated, man. And it hardly seems fair including the Buffy movie in there, considering what they did to it.
Wilson's Super, Thanks for Asking! Does anybody have an mp3 of that they can kindly donate to me, pleeease?

Tonight I saw Look Both Ways
This is an Aussie film that won a lot of awards last year, most of them well-deserved. It's a very confrontational movie about death and life and cancer which is really unrelenting at times but ends on an undoubtedly uplifting and life-affirming note. It's also got some really dark humour in it, which I always like.
It's good to know a bit about the woman, Sarah Watts, who made it. She's an artist, and her art is used in the movie to show the female lead's imagination when she sees all the people around her (including herself) dying in horrible ways. She has also fought with cancer, so a lot of the movie has a very personal feel to it. Also, her husband, William McInnes (IMO one of the best actors in Australia at the moment, but that might just be because I think he's sexy) is one of the lead actors.
All the acting is really strong and I like the use of music, or lack thereof. The soundtrack is full of really harsh, real sounds. The setting is great, it's nicely shot. Sometimes it does drag on a little too long, and nobody seems to have a comfortable conversation in the whole thing, but its good points outweigh its weaknesses, which is what's important in an Australian movie. We've had some really crap ones lately.

I'm sorry you're still sick--that is really sucky. Also, I hate when my throat gets like that; it's one of my least favorite things when it comes to being sick.
Also, today's Daily Dom Dose is from one of my favorite photoshoots of him EVER. Huzzah!
