Let's start with the girls, shall we?
This is Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace, played by Katee Sackhoff. She is a fighter pilot.
This is Six. She's played by Tricia Helfer, who used to be a model, but don't hold that against her - she's really impressive on BSG.
This is Sharon 'Boomer' Valerii. She's also a fighter pilot, played by Grace Park.
Lucy Lawless also recently joined the cast, which is awesome, of course.
Okay, moving on to the boys.
Lee 'Apollo' Adama, son of the chief and - shock, surprise - a fighter pilot and the CAG (sometimes), played by Jamie Bamber, who is hot...
...but more importantly, who played Horatio Hornblower'sgay lover boyfriend fuck buddy bff Archie!
...thus ends the totally superfluous Archie Kennedy spam.
This is Gaius Baltar, who's a self-centered, somewhat insane genius, played by James Callis, who has a tendency to come off looking like a vampiric Jesus. Which is hot.

This is my FAVOURITE reason to watch BSG: Karl 'Helo' Agathon, a soldier played by Tahmoh Penikett.
I don't know why he's snarling in this picture. It's strange and out of character. Still, arms.
This is Chief Galen Tyrol, who runs the tech team and is played by Aaron Douglas.
And Felix Gaeta, who is a really important...assistant-type-guy. I should find out what he is. He looks REALLY good in season 3.

We'll finish with my most favourite thing ever, the cast of BSG in MAXIM Magazine. HOT. And it starts with Tahmoh!
Oh, and uh, there's plot and stuff. It's intelligent and sharp and political and the best scifi thing on TV. One of the best scifi shows ever, actually. It's no Firefly, but it's good.

I prefer the comparisons of Lamb and Gaius. Desmond seems a lot nobler than Gaius. Different accents, too. They do both have that Jesus thing working for them though, lol.
Tahmoh with a Scottish accent would probably kill me completely.
