The weather here is crazy.
Australia tends to be severely drought-ridden, but it's been raining on and off for a week and a half. Today it was rainy and windy and it killed TransAct and I had to take Luke to school in the rain and got all wet. It's good for the environment and all but can't I just pause the rain when I need to drive and walk from the car to the school with an autistic nearly-seven year old who hates the rain, a mini-suitcase and a backpack??
Best Veronica Mars gallery ever, holy crap.
Sadly according to Muhney it's not looking good for a fourth season, though we should get a full third season. I was surprised at how sad I was to read this, considering how pessimistic I was about even getting a full third season. *sigh* WHY DON'T PEOPLE WATCH GOOD TV?! I wish we could do something about it.
Speaking of teh Muhney, singing karaoke. Awesomely. It's a word.
I did a Chris Lowell/Piz spam over at
boysofculttv, so go check it out!
Josh Holloway TV Guide outtakes.
Harry Potter pretties, including Sirius's wand. OMG.

lunatunes for covers week.
Under Pressure - My Chemical Romance & The Used
I love David Bowie and Queen's version, but I love this version too - it's got a lot of raw energy.
Under Pressure - Bobby Flynn
Just as a total contrast to the version above, but I love this one too. I love almost every song Bobby did. I love Bobby.
Lost Without You - Darren Hayes
Darren sang this at the ARIA awards (kind of the Australian Grammys) as a tribute to its original singer, Delta Goodrem, who cried because he sang it better than she did.
Never Take the Place of Your Man - Kane
Christian Kane of Angel's excellent country rock band. Originally by Prince, although it suits Kane down to the ground.
Don't Let's Start - Common Rotation
Cover of a song by They Might Be Giants - I prefer CoRo's version myself.
I Touch Myself - The Bens
With a combination like Ben Kweller, Ben Folds and Ben Lee, pretty much everything they do is going to be ridiculously awesome. This cover of the Divinyls' song is no exception.
Minnie the Moocher - Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry
Fry & Laurie sang this Cab Calloway song on their show Jeeves & Wooster and it's hilarious.
Faith - The Boy Least Likely To
Thanks to the one good scene in The Rules of Attraction I was listening to George Michael's song nonstop when I found this version of it, which is totally different but really cute.
Smells Like Teen Spirit - The String Quartet
The String Quartet covers a lot of songs you wouldn't expect from classical musicians, and this is a really good version of Nirvana's song.
The Ring of Fire - Blondie
Live cover of Johnny Cash's song. VERY different style.
People are Strange - Echo and the Bunnymen
Cover of The Doors' classic song made for The Lost Boys, this is the version I always think of when I remember the song. Fantastic.
Ding Dong, the Witch is Dead - Ella Fitzgerald
About a hundred times better than the Munchkins' version.
Time After Time - Matchbox Twenty
Being a Cyndi Lauper fan I love the original Time After Time and hate the crappy dance makeover it recently received. This is truer to the original and really beautiful.
You Don't Know Me - Michael Buble
I actually prefer this version to anyone else's, even *gasp* Ray Charles (thought it was originally by Cindy Walker and Eddy Arnold). It's my favourite Michael Buble song.
Don't Dream It's Over - Sixpence None the Richer
I've been going through a Crowded House phase lately, and this song is one of their best. Sixpence do a really haunting, beautiful cover.
Hit Me Baby One More Time - Billy Boyd
Britney Spears sung by a hobbit.
It's Not Easy Being Green - Andy Hallett
Kermit the Frog sung by a demon.
You're the One That I Want - Tenacious D ft. Andy Serkis
And Grease sung by two singing comedians and Gollum.
My Doorbell - KT Tunstall
This is a fresh take on The White Stripes' song.
Jolene - The White Stripes
One of my favourite covers of all time, partly because it's sung by a man but also because Jack White sounds like he's on the edge of a nervous breakdown and completely sells the Dolly Parton song. I love Dolly but this is genius.

Total Film outtake.

I've always wanted that Weasley Grandfather clock watch, but now I don't even see it on the page! Or maybe that was just a WB thing. I can't believe how much they want for a Gryffindor scarf! I made mine for like...$10 lol.

I saw it when it was in its formation period but now it's huge and has pretty much every Veronica Mars picture ever. It's AWESOME. I spent hours there yesterday.
