I saw Jarhead and ritergirl tonight I was all prepared to write about them, maybe make a nekkid!Jake spam and an Alan Tudyk spam for ritergirl and I discover that you're all being slack.

Jarhead was really well acted, written and directed, but the thing about Jarhead is that it achieves its aims too well. The aim of the movie is to show how boring, frustrating and ultimately fruitless the first Gulf war was. The film has the effect of leaving you bored and frustrated, which is not the best thing to be when watching a movie.

Still, the stuff of the oil falling from the sky and the bombs dropping around Jake is fantastic and Jake himself gets naked a lot and is beautiful. Peter Sarsgaard is great, of course, and Jamie Foxx is terrific too.

Jarhead: 7 out of 10.

I love those pictures, and not just because of the glasses. I love Gina Torres. I think she's so underrated, as is Zoe.

Toooooooooootally agree with you about the Gina Torres/Zoe thing. Zoe's my second favorite, right behind Wash (and right before Mal). Crap, that reminds me I have to work on my letter_love fics; I signed up for Zoe.

I have no more glasses Alan so you get super swank Alan instead.

Zoe sort of crept up and now I think she's pretty much equal favourite with Mal. I just love a really strong, kickass female figure who's still very much feminine, you know? And when she's funny she's so deadpan it just cracks me up. Plus the way she carries herself is incredible.

Guh, I LOVE that swanky shoot. I have a few more caps from 28 Days to go with...

I love him in A Knight's Tale, he and Paul Bettany are the only worthwhile things about that movie IMHO. Chaucer is just so, so incredible, I'm in love with him.
