Chewy to be on Craig Ferguson Thursday 7 December, and also on stage in London from January.
Have we established who's taking care of Vincent now that pretty much every owner he's had is dead or has left?
LMAO! Very cool Sayid icons that I think
ack_attack and
dreaminoflorien will enjoy particularly.
Billy and Ali looking cute.
Milo talks about Gilmore Girls and Heroes, Greg Grunberg guest appearance - a YouTube Heroes clip I missed yesterday. I WANT CAPS OF THE LATEST EP.
Aww, Lance and Reichen broke up. Lance was too good for him anyway.
Speaking of which, Big Wolf on Campus set to 'If You Were Gay' from Avenue Q. I used to love that show. Now I know why. That video is like going to slashy geeky heaven.
I've been making spams - big ones - for
boysofculttv's Lost theme:
Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje
Daniel Dae Kim
Harold Perrineau
Henry Ian Cusick
Ian Somerhalder
And, just because I posted the link again for the Ian spam, the Faith scene from Rules of Attraction. Think of it as a companion to the Hugh Grant in Love, Actually scene everybody's posting.
Tonight I finally saw The Departed
Holy crap, that was awesome. The end blew me away. You know a movie's good when it manages to get you jumping out of your seat and wanting to applaud by the final credits, and The Departed did that for me. The movie built the most incredible atmosphere of fear and paranoia so well, and the cast were great. Jack Nicholson was complete OTT mad enegery. Marky Mark actually has the best role in the film, though. Matt Damon is great, even though he's the less likeable of the two central roles. Actually, he's a total douche, and it was great to see Matt play that role.
The movie had some trademark Scorcese moments - domesticity mixed in with unimaginable violence, sharp dialogue, some great camerawork, terrific soundtrack. There's some not-so-subtle symbolism - particularly in one tense scene in which Leo and Matt are dressed exactly alike and the very last shot of the film - but it works, because the story is like one of those old allegorical overarching crime sagas. Plus, in a film about deception and disloyalty, it is the honest and loyal that's left standing, and that's cool.
There are a few issues I had with the film, though. The first is that no matter how much the press likes him, no matter how much all the cool people on my flist like him, I cannot like Leo. He wasn't bad in this movie so much as he looked in pain through the whole thing. His eyes watered all the fucking time. The second problem with the movie is that Scorcese has gained some flubber over the years. His films aren't as lean as they used to be - there's plenty of scenes that could haev been cut or shortened, unnecessary bits that made this less than the best Scorcese fare. Although, less than Scorcese's best is still better than 90% of films out there. Children of Men is still my personal favourite movie of the year, but this was good. Really fucking good.

The LOVED the Departed too. And as you know, I love Leo. He's so intense guhhhh. That ending was incredible. I was so sad he had to die. Although Marky Mark kicking ass like that kind of ruled. YAY DEPARTED.
I don't have that icon anymore. Damn. *uses substitute*

As for the acting, I think everyone was fantastic in it, everyone. I see that you don't agree, but I thought this was Leo's best performance in a long time - and I always think he's good - and I'd love to see him nominated for something for it. But I think that Blood Diamond is going to work against him and he's going to cancel himself out. I'd really love to see Mark Wahlberg (I refuse to call him Marky Mark, lol) get a nomination, because he stole every scene he was in without actually looking as if he was trying to do it.

c. What would a Mary Sue in my fandom be like?
Mysterious stranger swoops in and takes you away from everything bad, leaves you with a harem of your beloved boys.
d. When or how did I/will I jump the shark?
You discover a new TV show to cover, it's anime.
e. Write a one sentence summary of the story that would win the Best Fanfic Award in my fandom.
GQ wins $1000000, flies to Hawaii, is cast on Lost, stars in episode that has Shannon/Boone flashbacks, Naveen Andrews and Maggie Grace get into a bitch fight about who will have an affair with GQ.
f. What would a typical badfic involve?
Femslash w/ Maggie and GQ with horrible grammar and having them both act like emo 12 year olds.
g. Who would be the BNFs (Big Name Fans) in my fandom?
Me, Ack_Attack
h. Why would my fandom end up on fandom_wank?
You are declared a sockpuppet by jealous fans.
