SO. Speed dating was okay, but you don't get to say much. Certain people leave more of an impression than others but it was literally 60 seconds a guy, so you barely had time to say anything. It was really funny when one guy was trying to rush through it and I couldn't understand a word he was saying.
Also, I felt ancient because they were almost all ickle firsties and second years, there were only 3 third-year-or-aboves among them.
Best boy: a second year in a yellow 'Clap Your Hands Say Yeah' t-shirt (don't care much about the band, but the only one wearing a band shirt, so points) with Piz hair who asked me what my favourite movies were and loved Star Wars. Win!

After speed dating I had beer with Nutty and Melissa, went to dinner with Melissa, then went to a toga party with Melissa and Mitchell. It was really good, really fun, even though we pretty much just played Scrabble.

Cute little quote about Muhney.

The new Supernatural director's cuts are up at CW Video, and [livejournal.com profile] waterofthemoon thoughtfully provided hilarious caps. SPOILERS for 2.15, but LMAO GENIUS. I didn't get to see much of the videos, but the bit I saw looks terrific.

Kristin Veitch thinks JJ and Joss are the two best TV directors alive. I mostly concur, although I think there are some amazing directors who don't write their own episodes (Nutter anyone?) So they're the best all-rounders alive. And Joss is the best writer/creator, as I was discussing with [livejournal.com profile] melissajane14 over dinner.

Good news on the Battlestar Galactica front - you can see the [livejournal.com profile] dryope Tahmohspam she refers to here. He was at the Eternal Sunshine premiere, which means HE WAS IN THE SAME PLACE AS DOM. This excites me.

AT THE SAME PLACE! IN FRONT OF THE SAME TREE AND POSTER! OMG!!
They might have MET.

Wow, speed dating sounds weird. I don't think we have that kind of thing here.

What does the "155 days" stand for?

Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is released! I do a countdown to every new book, have done since book 5.

Ohhhh! Only 155? WOW. WOW!!

Knowing you, I thought it had something to do with Dom or Lost or something. Haha.

Actually I'm a bigger fan of Harry Potter than anything else, it's just that I'm not nearly as involved in the actual fandom. It gives me hives. I tend to stick to nicer fandoms, because I find that Harry Potter-exclusive areas are filled with delusional, hysterical thirteen-year-olds. When I pick my fandoms in order Harry Potter will always come first, though. I read the books once every six months and talk about it nearly every time I see [livejournal.com profile] melissajane14. Harry Potter owns me.

All the Harry Potter fans I know who are also involved in other fandoms are fine, though.

I didn't know that! I love it. haha. I used to be part of a sorting community, and it was really fun and not wanky, but it died. :( So I'm really into fandom either anymore, though I talk about it constantly with LJ and RL friends.

Makes me happy that Potter owns you. :D
