HAPPY BIRTHDAY ASH for yesterday, when I couldn't access LiveJournal.
Last night was insane fun. We played rather epic games of Twister and I felt very clever because I bought Tom candy fake teeth (we'd been discussing how old he is and he said he was considering getting false teeth. Get it? Haw.) So yes, lots of twisting fun, though I need to wear a better bra and shirt when I play that game. Tom had fun anyway, which is the main thing :) and I got to see lots of fun people I almost never see, and I finished my film (someone remind me to get that thing developed!) Then today I woke up and felt like complete and utter shit (headache, mopey, and oogy), so I spent the day not doing much of anything really. I cleaned windows with Mum and went to pick Clare up from her friend's house this afternoon.
As for the big Australian Idol controversy, I am withholding judgement on Cosima except to say I KNEW IT! I knew her voice was dying and it wouldn't hold out, and I'm quite glad she pulled out--not just for Guy, but for Shannon as well, because I didn't feel it was fair on the others or on her to keep it up. I don't know what to think about who knew what (especially since Dicko's appearance on Rove tonight, since we all know Dicko would never lie to use), I thought she was debating over whether or not to pull out until the last minute when she found out she wasn't getting voted out. Who knows. GO GUY!

Ah yes, Melbourne Cup. My family all went in a sweep. My sister, for about the fourth time, just happened to get the winning horse--Makybe Diva. Goddammit. My horse, Big Pat, did nothing whatsoever.
