How can you be a Firefly fan and NOT KNOW what else Joss has done? That's just wrong. Not like it, maybe, but not know?
Thankyou so much to everyone who replied to the compliment post. I don't want to reply to them in there because they'll un-screen and even if they don't it feels...weird...but thankyou! You're all so sweet.
Two seriously geeky Jossverse essays - on non-linear narrative in Out of Gas, Is Willow the female Spiderman? (& why Tara is Important.)

Speaking of Lost,
ack_attack made Tricia Tanaka is Dead icons. Spoilery, obviously. ...and so did
corellianjedi, using all the same moments, sort of. LOL ILU GUYS.
For your aural pleasure: I Am What I Am by John Barrowman.
Muhney didn't get the musical part. WOE :( I wanted it so badly for him.

1. Pick your favourite subject back at school - what do you suppose is its magical subject counterpart?
English. I...don't think there is a counterpart. I suppose after English would be history, which would be History of Magic.
2. Would you rather be a Pure-blood or a Half-blood? Why?
I don't think I'd care all that much. I guess half-bloods have exposure to both worlds and would therefore be less likely to be racist, but look at Voldemort and Harry.
3. What job would you ideally have in the wizarding world?
I think I'd end up working for the Daily Prophet in some measure, since it seems to be the only media that isn't radio. There's no wizarding entertainment industry. I'm all about TV and movies.
4. Given the opportunity, would you ever use a love potion?
If I met Chris Lowell... No.
5. Have you ever named a pet/child/inanimate object after a Potter character?
My iPod is Hedwig, my old phone was Errol, I had a budgie called Cedric, and I plan to get a cat and call it Hermione one day.
On the same topic, DanRad is on for HBP & Deathly Hallows.

1. We see that the episode are starting to "recycle" some of the season one monsters. What monsters would you like to see revisited?
NO MORE LITTLE GIRL GHOSTS. Seriously, guys. I really was interested and spooked by theDementors Strigas, though.
2. In the season one finale, Sam draws the devil's trap onto the impala and explains its function, and although this symbol is not brought up again, the episode title is Devil's Trap. What do you think is its the significance?
The name was cool and the writers liked it.
3. What is your favourite season two episode so far? And why?
Nightshifter, because that's a near-perfect hour of television. They have the setup, with a healthy dose of comedy, and then it turns dramatic and dangerous. It's a stand-alone episode but has hints of an overall plot running through it, and it had three-dimensional, memorable supporting roles. It was shot beautifully. They did some great hand-held work inside the bank to build tension. Jared and Jensen gave great, subtle performances and the characters were flawed but interesting. And it finished with a shot of the boys driving away in the Impala to classic rock, which is a staple of the show.
4. Sam or evil!Sam?
Evil!Sam, but only in small enough doses that we can continue to appreciate him fully ;)
5. If the Winchester brothers got tossed into another fandom (TV show, book, etc), which fandom do you think they'll be the most at home in? Which one would they be the most out-of-place in?
Well, they'd fit right in in the Buffy or Angel-verse. And Joss could probably write them better. You know where they'd be lost? The Battlestar Galactica-verse. They don't have time for the angsting or the D&Ms at the end of every week. LMAO.
CULT CLASSIC. So true.
CHRIS LOWELL PHOTOGRAPHY. OMG. I AM IN LOVE. They're so good. How does he do all this? He's just...guh.

Roger Corman Your film will be 52% romantic, 29% comedy, 48% complex plot, and a $ 36 million budget. |
An action-complex tale about a complex character that is you. Corman was responsible for a very early Jack Nicholson film, 1963's The Terror (Francis Coppola was associate producer), filmed in three days! The actor who plays you will emote complexity like Jack ... maybe Christian Slater or Gwyneth Paltrow. Also, Roger filmed the original Little Shop of Horrors film -- which in the 1980s was the basis for a hit Broadway musical and another film. All his films were shot for mere thousands of dollars, sometimes completed within the week. Roger knows talent, and knows how to keep costs down with complex stories such as your life story. His versions of Edgar Allen Poe stories are considered classics (The Raven, The Pit and the Pendulum), and also directed Deathsport and Bloody Mama in the 1970s. Oh, yeah, man, this guy will make your film a cult classic! |
