I've discovered that Mika just changes his music to mimic different artists. Billy Brown could be a Beatles song. I love it. Also, I was all excited about The Fratellis until I discovered they didn't name themselves after The Goonies, so now I don't care.
DEATHLY HALLOWS COVERS! Okay seriously, why is it that only one of the covers for each book can be pretty? The UK covers for OotP and HBP were so pretty and now we get this crap. And all the last US ones have been much nicer. I'm gonna have to get a US copy as well, like I did with OotP. UK one to read, US one to look at. Eventually I'm just going to buy all seven in an adults' box set, because they are the best covers of all. The full, more intense US one is here, and the adult UK one here. VERY HI-RES, that one.

Accidents Will Happen byholli, because goth teenagers raise John from the dead and it's actually good. Great outsider perspective, too, and lovely dialogue.
Bad things, Good things, and Paul Bunyan byadibiase, for some of the most disturbingly disgusting imagery ever, with a good emotional kick.

It used to be Colonel Tigh but he's starting to grow on me.
03. What would a crossover between #1 and #5 include? (Lost and Supernatural)
Hot man-on-man action? Okay, okay. Dean and Sam are just driving on a long stretch of road in middle America that looks suspiciously like Vancouver when suddenly they find themselves driving out of The Box. They run straight over Benry, who's all JAAAACK, FIX ME, and then they set about finding out about the spirit who's screwing with people's heads on the island and salting and burning the body. Dean sexes all the other girls while Sam angsts over Kate and joins the ever-growing Kate love dodecahedron. Charlie snarks and is pretty. Sayid also snarks and is pretty. Shannon comes back as a zombie, but a really hot one, like that chick in Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. Boone can come too. Sam finds out Desmond is one of those special kids but Desmond's all 'Get over it, brother.' Because he's awesome like that.

Simon/me. I'm too boring, I tend to like canon ships for Joss's shows.

I would put the noir back in, and bring back the importance of the secondary characters (i.e. anyone who isn't Logan and Veronica) and the season arcs. Most importantly, I would hire Joss.

Sam and Dean's seems...obvious, but it's true. I love the non-romantic (incest is for others, not me) complexities of the relationship. They really have the brother thing down, and their roles in the family are so spot-on perfect. There are times I can see myself and my sister really clearly in Dean and Sam's roles. Jared and Jensen have such great chemistry together. I wish they'd FUCKING HUG ALREADY.
09. If the lead title characters (first name in the credits) from #1 and #3 were both drowning, and you could only save one, who would it be? (Lost and Heroes)

And I love the US cover. That copy is not going to be released here, but since the Portuguese translation always uses Mary GrandPre's artwork it'll be just a matter of time - I'll buy that one for the cover, and for the laughs about the crappiness that always results from our translation.

I tend to buy these things when I have a little extra. I had to hold back from just buying all four of the ones that I needed in adult covers. I'd like to eventually get the UK covers too.
