I've discovered that Mika just changes his music to mimic different artists. Billy Brown could be a Beatles song. I love it. Also, I was all excited about The Fratellis until I discovered they didn't name themselves after The Goonies, so now I don't care.

DEATHLY HALLOWS COVERS! Okay seriously, why is it that only one of the covers for each book can be pretty? The UK covers for OotP and HBP were so pretty and now we get this crap. And all the last US ones have been much nicer. I'm gonna have to get a US copy as well, like I did with OotP. UK one to read, US one to look at. Eventually I'm just going to buy all seven in an adults' box set, because they are the best covers of all. The full, more intense US one is here, and the adult UK one here. VERY HI-RES, that one.

I love all you guys.

I came over REALLY SICK at work today and had to come home. It was gross and painful and uncomfortable.

Rest of the day wasn't too bad. Woke up early, took the sister to school and finished the assignment at uni - I finished early so I came home and had lunch and a nap. Then I took the sister to her physio appointment, then went to work.

In fun gay news, Doogie Howser Neil Patrick Harris is gay! Awesome.

I actually have some comments on Idol this week. Whoever picked Dean's songs should be removed from the show's audience immediately. Those were two god-awful songs that he never had a chance of doing well, and it's only numbers that saved him. I was sad to see Chris go, I hoped he would get to third like Courtney. Tonight's was possibly the sweetest and saddest elimination of the series. However, I can't deny the absolutely amazing performances of Damien. Cryin' KILLED me. I liked Hallelujah, but not as much as everyone else - I thought the arrangement was weird and I was hoping he wouldn't put in a falsetto at the end, because the song until then had a good mood going. Still a better performance than anyone else's, though. If it gets to Damien and Jess, I hope Damien wins. I think Jess will, which sucks - with all the male talent this year it just doesn't feel right for a girl to win, esp. since girls have won the last two in a row.

I'm going to do a spam of awesome tough chicks on TV, just to prove a point about Jo. Because I am sick of posts like these. He likes her, so clearly we hate her cuz we're JELUS!!1!!! Yeah. Although I still don't like hate communities or icons. If someone asks for people's opinions I'll give mine, and I give my opinion freely here because it's my journal, but I'm not going to force my dislike of her onto other people or write hate mail to the actress. It's a character on a TV show, she's not going to destroy the world by existing, and making icons of guns pointed to her head is just nasty.
