Battlestar Galactica signing in San Francisco on Saturday 17 February. INCLUDING TAHMOH PENIKETT! You know the drill, if you heard it here first please say hi for me.

[livejournal.com profile] dryope made more Tricia Helfer spam. I named my new phone after her! Well, I named it Six, but still.

Michael Muhney hung out with Adam Baldwin last night and Santa Monica exploded from the awesome. Well, no, it didn't, but it should've. But I did make my first ever legal post to Whedonesque about it!

Supernatural boys in Weekly World News. As horrendously corny as it is, Jared's little smile in the first picture kills me.

Deadly adorable Heath Ledger/Jake Gyllenhaal squishies.

See my GIP? [livejournal.com profile] teh_indy made a whole HEAP of icons from a whole heap of fandoms. I needed this one as soon as I saw it.
I don't get the swirly trend in icons at the moment. They look like the icon is being flushed down a toilet. WTF.

For me - Born Under a Bad Sign icons.

Also for me, and any other lovers of slash and crossovers and Dean and Mal: Wild and Unwise - Dean/Mal. Yummy.

You scored as Dean. You\'re Dean! He is best described as a ladies' man, a protective older brother, talented demon hunter, skilled hustler, expert in the supernatural, and a smartass. He uses sarcasm, music, and hunting to hide the tragic memories of his mother and father's supernatural deaths.

That's fortunate. If I'd scored as Sam I may have to kill somebody.

Dom with Orli at the Blow premiere (Orli really DOES have a crush on Johnny Depp, doesn't he?) 21 May 2001.

I love that in your Whedonesque post you just had to mention Piz. LOLOL.

Aww, back before Orli was all greasy and not so hot. Hee!

Somebody dissed him! I was just standing up for my man.

Black Hawk Down-era, isn't it?

2 requests, darlin'

1. Could you pimp [livejournal.com profile] dom_media as being reactivated? I know our flists overlap a lot, but someone might not know :D

2. Do you want to help out over there? (mod-wise?)

SMOOCH

From: [identity profile] txvoodoo.livejournal.com

Yay! The comm is moderated-posting only, so basically approve posts (or not)

I have to write a FAQ and set up some tags. Once tags are in place, it'd be great if mods would make sure things are tagged correctly. Won't be difficult :) Like, "articles, candids, interviews, career news, video" - that type of thing.

For what we're letting through: articles, new photos, news, videos. Papparazzi are ok but must be under a cut - you can reject one that's not, asking them to resubmit w/ a cut.

Lost articles, unless they pertain to something more than just Lost stuff, doesn't belong. (Like, Dom interview talking about Charlie is fine - Lost article saying isn't)

Picspams or posts of OLD photos are ok, but must SPECIFY that the photos aren't new. (don't wanna confuse folks)

Also, do a perusal every once in a while to make sure asses aren't trolling :D

Hmm. Here's an idea: if you, as a mod, approve a post, you keep an eye on that post for idiots? Would that make sense? With LJ's notification button, we could click that on a post we've approved to make it easy to do so. *thinks*

:D

Look, I unjoined because it was dead! I'll join now. I used to be a member!

Wait, [livejournal.com profile] dom_dedicated closed? Nobody thought to tell a co-mod? Nice.

Thanks for letting me know the ground rules. I'd be happy to be a co-mod :)

From: [identity profile] txvoodoo.livejournal.com

*laughs* BTW? You actually have to JOIN the comm for me to mod you :D

OK OT BUT TODAY IN FILM WE WATCHED PARTS OF SINGIN' IN THE RAIN AND I THOUGHT OF YOU AND I WAS HAPPY :D

From: [identity profile] flamingo-killer.livejournal.com

Um we watched where they show the film and the sound gets really messed up and near the end where Kathy sings for Lina live and then is revealed to have been her voice the whole time (I think I got those names right...). It's because we're studying sound this week, so the first scene was a good example of the complications that arose in the transition from silent film to film with sound and I honestly don't know why we watched the second clip but I LOVED IT SO MUCH. I REALLY want to watch the whole thing now!

From: [identity profile] green-queen.livejournal.com

You SHOULD! It's the best movie ever. The 'No, no, no! Yes, yes, yes!' part is one of my favourites in the whole movie. I love Lina.

You did get their names right, good work :)
